Politico Worries Trump Will Take 'Victory Lap' After Acquittal

Politico is deeply concerned about impeachment. Not that it could drag on for weeks or even months. No, their worry is that the almost inevitable acquittal of President Donald Trump will lead him to taking a "victory lap" as he's itching to plot a "flashy series finale for impeachment."

NYT Rescues Biden: ‘I Don't Think Much About Anything Joni Ernst Says'

The New York Times played white knight for candidate Joe Biden after Republican Sen. Joni Ernst of Iowa so cruelly brought up  the controversy surrounding Biden’s son Hunter, and his lucrative, controversial position at Ukrainian energy exploration company Burisma, which is at center stage during impeachment proceedings. Reporters Thomas Kaplan and Nick Corasaniti tried to turn things back around…

On New Day, angst-filled CNN political commentator John Avlon asks, "will the headline be: Lamar Alexander saves the republic, or saves the Republican party?" In other words, the republic will be lost if Alexander votes against witnesses.

As Impeachment Rolls on, Fox DOMINATES CNN in the Ratings

It’s one thing for a cable news network to come in first place among its rivals for weeks, months or even a year, but it’s quite another now that the Fox News Channel is celebrating the achievement of topping the ratings charts for 18 consecutive years. Fox & Friends co-host Ainsley Earhardt touted the victories, adding the most-watched show on CNN, Anderson Cooper 360, "finished the month as…

Univision, Telemundo Freak Out Over SCOTUS' ‘Public Charge’ Decision

The nation’s Spanish-language networks never waste an opportunity to remind us that, no matter what else may be going on, immigration is the first and foremost issue- both in coverage and in importance to their business interests. The latest instance of these biases on display comes via the network’s coverage of the Supreme Court decision allowing the Trump Administration’s “public charge” policy…

VIDEO: 2020 Media Face Off Against 1999 Media on Impeachment

Before the Articles of Impeachment even reached the Senate, liberal journalists on broadcast and cable news insisted that any trial would be illegitimate without witnesses. Who’d ever heard of a trial without witnesses, they asked? As it turns out, their counterparts from 1999 had. Back then, journalists were adamant that any witnesses in President Clinton’s Senate trial would needlessly prolong…

Lockhart: Dershowitz's Argument Sounds Like What Hitler Would Say!

A week after being roasted for tweeting a fake conversation between Republican senators, CNN political commentator and former Clinton White House Press Secretary Joe Lockhart claimed Wednesday night during the Senate trial’s dinner break that an argument used by Trump legal team member Alan Dershowitz was “un-American” and akin to those used by “authoritarian people” to justify “genocide.”

When ‘Never Again’ Means Nothing

This week, the world marked the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz by Allied forces during World War II. Politicians of all stripes dutifully tweeted, “#NeverAgain.” Meanwhile, many of those same politicians continued to forward the worst sort of anti-Semitism, blithely ignoring the fact that anti-Semitism isn't a relic of the past but a thriving part of the present.

Democracy and Tyranny

During President Donald J. Trump's impeachment trial, we'll hear a lot of talk about our rules for governing. One frequent claim is that our nation is a democracy. If we've become a democracy, it would represent a deep betrayal of our founders, who saw democracy as another form of tyranny. In fact, the word democracy appears nowhere in our nation's two most fundamental documents, the Declaration…

On the same CNN Tonight in which host Don Lemon refused to apologize for his venomous Saturday night segment against Trump supporters, Lemon and guests Washington Post journalists Carol Leonnig and Philip Rucker hilariously insisted Wednesday that the media are not a political party, “not at war” with the Trump administration, and journalists “apologize” when they get stories “wrong.” Oh, and in…

Evening News Spin: 100% Negative on Trump Defense, 95% Positive Dems

A Media Research Center study of broadcast evening news coverage of the opening arguments of both sides, found ABC, CBS, and NBC did not live up to the standard they demanded of Republicans. They gave Democrats double the airtime and showered their arguments with mostly praise, while expressing only criticism of the President’s legal team.
