CBS This Morning stood out as the sole Big Three network morning newscast on Tuesday to cover a University of Missouri academic shouting down a reporter, briefly physically attacking him, and then calling people over to "get this reporter out of here...I need some muscle over here." Norah O'Donnell spotlighted Melissa Click, "an assistant professor of mass media," who along with "students, were telling the media...to back off." ABC's Good Morning America and NBC's Today didn't mention Click.

On Tuesday, all three network morning shows happily touted President Obama attacking Republicans at a Democratic fundraiser Monday night over GOP presidential candidates objecting to CNBC’s biased debate. At the top of NBC’s Today, co-host Savannah Guthrie proclaimed: “The Republican candidates, briefly unified, splinter again over their debate demands as President Obama takes a swipe, mocking the Republican field's beef with debate moderators.”

In a surprising twist, the normally superficial Good Morning America devoted an entire story to religious liberty. Even more amazing, this two minute and 51 segment aired in the 8am hour. This air time on ABC is usually reserved for cat videos and reality TV stars. Co-host Robin Roberts explained the story of the high school football coach who has “been told to stop praying with students on the field or he could get fired. But he's not backing down.”

For several days, the Today show has been hyping a special edition show that would feature Hillary Clinton for what NBC has promoted as “Pancakes & Politics: A Town Hall With Hillary Clinton.”  If the October 5 program is anything like ABC’s campaign 2008 town halls, it will be heavily stilted towards Democratic talking points.

On the Friday morning network newscasts, CBS This Morning and NBC’s Today showed no interest in picking up on an ABC News report that former President Bill Clinton sought approval from his wife’s State Department for speeches that involved African dictators and North Korea with the speaking fee for the former engagement worth $650,000.

Both ABC's Good Morning America and CBS This Morning on Thursday used the shooting death of two journalists in Roanoke, Virginia to highlight gun control. GMA co-host Robin Roberts talked to the boyfriend of slain reporter Alison Parker and lectured, "...When something like this happens, the conversation turns to gun control."

During live breaking news coverage of President Obama announcing a nuclear arms agreement with Iran Tuesday morning, all three broadcast networks labeled the deal “historic” and cheered the development as a “major victory” for the commander in chief, who made the deal a “top diplomatic priority.”

Good Morning America on Tuesday covered the latest details of Hillary Clinton's scandals and her refusal to talk to the media. However, George Stephanopoulos, the man who gave $75,000 to the Clinton Foundation and who "loves" the Democrat, did not anchor the segment. Instead, co-host Robin Roberts explained, "The State Department announcing it may not release her private e-mails from when she was Secretary of State until early next year."

Journalists at CBS and ABC on Thursday gently, gingerly interviewed the Democratic mayor of Baltimore. The two networks either ignored or downplayed a gaffe made by Stephanie Rawlings-Blake. CBS This Morning co-host Gayle King cautiously questioned the woman, whose city has been the site of violent looting and rioting. King vaguely wondered, "Mayor, it's been a rough week for you personally... If you had any do-overs, what would it be?"

ABC on Monday continued to assail Indiana's religious freedom law, hyping the "firestorm" over a law that "many" say could "legalize discrimination." Good Morning America co-host Robin Roberts trumpeted "growing calls to move the men's Final Four and boycott the state over the new law that many say legalizes discrimination."

Following all three network evening newscasts on Monday devoting full reports to "a full blown civil rights battle" in Alabama after the state's supreme court chief justice refused to carry out a federal ruling allowing gay marriage in the state, the Tuesday morning shows on CBS, ABC, and NBC all continued to push the story.

ABC's Good Morning America, a superficial show that rarely focuses on actual news, on Wednesday made time to promote the book of Reggie Love, Barack Obama's former "body man." Co-host Robin Roberts enthused over the "beautifully written" Power Forward: My Presidential Education.
