On Wednesday’s CBS This Morning, John Dickerson analyzed Hillary Clinton’s performance in her first national television interview and he did his best to stress that her overall trustworthiness issues are not really an issue for her 2016 presidential campaign. The Face the Nation moderator argued that voters only “need to find her trustworthy on the questions of is she going to fight for them. Is she going to have their interests at heart when she’s in office?”

On Wednesday, CBS This Morning acted as the unofficial press shop for Barack and Michelle Obama as the network devoted three segments totaling 2 minutes and 47 seconds to promoting the First Family’s recent activities in the White House. Gayle King provided the most over-the-top pro-Obama coverage while she discussed a group of Girl Scouts who camped out at the White House, proclaiming: “We’re available for a sleep out on the lawn.”

During a discussion with Bloomberg Politics’ John Heilemann on Tuesday, CBS This Morning played up how Chris Christie is damaged goods ahead of his 2016 presidential announcement. In introducing the segment, co-host Norah O’Donnell made sure to point out that “[n]ational polls show Christie’s support is in single digits. Only 30 percent of voters in his home state approve of Christie’s performance as governor.”
After the first broadcast network special reports on Friday morning about the Supreme Court’s decision to approve gay marriage, they returned hours later to gush after President Obama’s remarks how “eloquently” he spoke and pronounce him to be “the America of tomorrow” as an “angry” Antonin Scalia comes to grips with the news that “his side” of “the culture battle” “has lost.” ABC News correspondent Terry Moran hyped after the President’s speech how “Scalia is angry again” by having “cast scorn” on the majority ruling in his dissenting opinion.

This week marks the 800th anniversary of the Magna Carta “one of the most important documents in human history” and on Monday, ABC’s Good Morning America and NBC’s Today apparently felt their viewers don't appreciate a key part of world history and skipped the event altogether.
On Wednesday, only CBS This Morning noticed a setback for Democrats proposing a massive tax hike in Connecticut, with co-host Norah O’Donnell reporting: “The Connecticut Post says two major corporations, General Electric and Aetna, forced changes in Connecticut's proposed budget. The companies said they would consider leaving the state over plans to raise business taxes. Democratic lawmakers rewrote the tax package Monday night.” That 15-second mention was the only network coverage of the liberal overreach. NBC and ABC completely ignored the story.
In the past, the hosts of CBS This Morning fawned over Hillary Clinton and potential candidate Elizabeth Warren, but on Tuesday they grilled Republican presidential candidate Rand Paul. The Senator appeared to promote his new book, but Charlie Rose focused on Paul's stand against government surveillance. He dismissed: "Senator McCain and Senator Lindsey Graham have both said this is revenue-raising, that is a performance."
In the first network interview with new Attorney General Loretta Lynch for Friday’s CBS This Morning, co-host Norah O’Donnell used recent police shootings to push accusations of racism: “Your first day on the job, you were dealing with what was going on in Baltimore....I mean, we've had Ferguson, we've had Cleveland, we've had North Charleston. What's going on in this country?...is it individual racism or do you think it’s institutional racism?”

On Thursday, CBS This Morning acted as an unofficial spokesperson for First Lady Michelle Obama as they eagerly promoted a video of her working out at the gym. For their part, ABC’s Good Morning America and NBC’s Today did not cheerlead for Mrs. Obama during their broadcasts.
On Wednesday, CBS This Morning hosted New York City Mayor Bill DeBlasio for an exclusive interview at the top of One World Trade Center’s new observation desk and gave the far-left mayor an unchallenged platform to promote his liberal agenda.

On Tuesday, CBS This Morning and NBC’s Today continued to promote President Obama officially joining Twitter and featured numerous fawning segments highlighting the “Breaking News.” After CBS and NBC both touted Obama’s new Twitter handle on their Monday night broadcasts, their respective morning shows provided 4 minutes and 35 seconds of free promotion for the new @POTUS account.
Without any evidence of what caused the crash of an Amtrak train in Philadelphia Tuesday night, all three network morning shows on Wednesday had no hesitation in suggesting a lack of government infrastructure spending was to blame. NBC's Guthrie: "And another issue people have raised is that because this is such a heavily traveled section of track that there are also infrastructure issues....Is this something else that investigators will look hard at?"
