Lawrence O’Donnell and MSNBC proved again Tuesday night that Republican presidential candidates will never receive a break, even when they appear to be agreeing with them on an issue. On his show The Last Word, the liberal host held a segment on Ben Carson’s USA Today op-ed in which the Republican presidential candidate acknowledged the issue of police brutality, and offered a new way of addressing the problem.

During a segment on Thursday’s The Last Word about Jimmy Carter’s cancer diagnosis, MSNBC national correspondent Joy Reid complained that voters rejected “Carter’s decency and goodness” in the 1980 presidential election in favor of the “bluster” possessed by “cowboy” Ronald Reagan.
In his MSNBC show The Last Word Tuesday evening, Lawrence O’Donnell dedicated a segment to describing his opinion of what “good and bad socialism” looks like. Naturally his example of “good” socialism included the man and policies Bernie Sanders. It also included a 6 year old cover from Newsweek magazine that proclaimed “We Are All Socialists now,” which detailed how it's becoming normal (and good) for America to fund massive socialist policies like Social Security and Medicaid. Bad socialism is, of course, allowing the government to “socialize” the sports industry by subsidizing the construction of new stadiums for rich and greedy team owners and the millionaire athletes they employ.
Liberal MSNBC anchor Lawrence O'Donnell on Thursday night slammed Ronald Reagan, sneering that he was the "Donald Trump of his time." O'Donnell asserted that, just like Trump and Sarah Palin, Reagan was a liar on subjects like Medicare. Comparing Reagan to Trump, O'Donnell insulted, "One of the loudest opponents of Medicare was actor Ronald Reagan, who was then the Donald Trump of his time, a celebrity with no governing experience and very forceful opinions about government."

Once again, a courageous group of pro-life activists has produced a damning sting video of Planned Parenthood, and this one has exposed the most outrageous behavior yet. This isn’t the abortion conglomerate protecting pimps or statutory rapists as they seek abortions. This is the selling of the organs of babies after they’ve been killed.
The video will chill you to the bone. It cannot be described as anything but what it is: evil.

On Wednesday night, MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell began his show by cheering President Obama’s news conference performance and declared he “demonstrated more confidence at the podium than any president in the history of televised presidential press conferences, more even than Kennedy.”
Journalists seize upon one week's good news for President Obama to proclaim he's "clearly" a "transformational President" who has engineered "a massive progressive shift to the left." And ABC champions the "Bernie-mentum" of socialist Bernie Sanders's far-left candidacy, cheering how his campaign events seem "more like rock concerts," while the boomlet for Donald Trump is merely evidence that "xenophobic language sells" among GOP primary voters.

Monday night, Lawrence O’Donnell gushed over Bernie Sanders’ authenticity and the consistently large crowds he has acquired in his speeches across the country. The July 6 edition of The Last Word featured a panel discussion which emphasized that the Vermont senator’s socialism isn't that far outside the mainstream.

A cranky Lawrence O'Donnell on Monday lashed out at the "terrible" Antonin Scalia, deriding the Supreme Court justice for his "wacky," bad writing. O'Donnell wondered if the conservative is "now the Donald Trump of the Supreme Court?" O'Donnell hosted a panel discussion on Scalia's dissents over ObamaCare and gay marriage. The liberal host complained, "...These are just terrible bits that he is sticking into these opinions and terrible thinker. And they are combined, you know, in that wacky reference he made the other day."

During a panel discussion on racism in America on MSNBC’s Last Word w/ Lawrence O’Donnell Monday night, Mark Thompson, a host on SIRIUS XM, argued that “voter suppression” is a new and “more sophisticated form of lynching” taking place in America today.

The June 10 edition of The Last Word featured all the predictable elements of a liberal media discussion on abortion. Host Lawrence O’Donnell invited Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards, former Democratic congressman Barney Frank, and the Jeremy Peters of the New York Times to the program to bash the Republican “war on women.” The discussion concerned a proposed 20-week abortion ban that’s currently stuck in the Senate.
Last night MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell all but officially made liberal former Congressman Barney Frank a co-host on his program “The Last Word With Lawrence O’Donnell”. The Massachusetts Democrat appeared on the first 3 segments, spanning 40 minutes. This included a scalding attack on fellow liberal Ben Wikler of MoveOn.org for daring to lead a movement encouraging Senator Elizabeth Warren to challenge Hillary Clinton for the Democratic nomination for president.
