Actions speak louder than words. Just like Jorge Ramos is currently losing the argument that he’s a fair journalist, his network’s PAC donations are confirming Univision has the exact same problem.

Though Univision Communications, Inc. -- Univision’s PAC -- talks about Latino voters as if it were nonpartisan, 87 percent of its political donations have gone directly to Democratic candidates. The PAC’s money comes from Univision employees and spouses, including large donations from Univision leadership. Glenda Martinez and Timothy Spillane, two high level executives, together donated $76,552 to the PAC since 2008.

During an interview with Brian Stelter, the senior media correspondent for the Cable News Network, Mexican-American journalist Jorge Ramos stated unequivocally that he does not support Kate's Law, which would mandate a five-year federal prison sentence for illegal immigrants who are deported and then return to the U.S. illegally.

“I think it is unfair that because one undocumented immigrant killed a wonderful human being, that all immigrants are being blamed for that killing,” the Univision anchor stated. “It is as unfair as if we were to criticize all white men in the United States for what happened in that theater in Aurora, Colorado.”

On Sunday’s This Week, Cokie Roberts gushed over Univision’s Jorge Ramos as an “absolute icon in the Hispanic community.” After ABC’s Martha Raddatz interviewed Ramos about his confrontation with Donald Trump, Roberts swooned over the liberal journalist as someone who is a “very, very big deal, and you know, he's also sort of someone they swoon over.” Panelist Newt Gingrich rejected identifying Ramos as an actual journalist and labeled him Trump’s “opponent” who “[e]very night on Univision, he opposes the Republican Party. Every night.”

When Jorge Ramos trolled Donald Trump’s press conference in Iowa, he clearly did so with the intent to initiate a confrontation. By his own co-anchor María Elena Salinas’ admission, Ramos was there to “question, denounce, and expose”. His acts were not of journalism, but of agenda activism. The undisputed fact is that Jorge Ramos ASKED NO QUESTIONS when he addressed Trump, launching instead into a series of direct attacks against Trump’s immigration proposals which resulted in his expulsion from the event.
