Following a contentious interview on Sunday’s Meet the Press, on Monday’s Today, NBC continued to harp over Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina’s recent statements condemning Planned Parenthood and their practice of harvesting fetal body parts. During a report on the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll, reporter Peter Alexander proclaimed “[f]acing new scrutiny of her own, Fiorina’s defending her claim that Planned Parenthood employees were caught on tape keeping a fully-formed fetus alive to harvest its brain.”

Don't put that popcorn-popper away just yet . . . On today's Morning Joe, Chuck Todd said he felt that in his Meet the Press interview of Hillary Clinton yesterday, she was signalling to her Dem supporters that there could be more damaging revelations to come on the email scandal.
Todd was alluding to the moment in the interview in which Hillary agreed with his characterization of a "drip, drip, drip" aspect to the scandal. When Todd asked whether she could "reassure Democrats that there's nothing else here," Hillary's answer was a very un-reassuring "there's only so much I can control."

As news broke of House Speaker John Boehner planning to resign from Congress, MSNBC’s hosts and correspondents used the opportunity to bash conservatives in the House of Representatives. Mere moments into House Speaker John Boehner’s press conference on Friday discussing his resignation on October 30, the “big three” of ABC, CBS, and NBC were quick to chastise conservative House members on Boehner’s “far right flank” that compose the “no compromise crowd” and “some grassroots conservatives who happened to be elected members of the House.”

In the litany of network news coverage Thursday night on Pope Francis’s address to Congress, ABC’s World News Tonight largely stayed away from the Pope’s comments about abortion and traditional marriage by relegating them to vague references while CBS and NBC did their due diligence and mentioned them amidst their continued obsession over the Pope’s liberal positions.
