Actress Cynthia Nixon couldn’t be happier with the job ultra-liberal New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio is doing as she gushed to Charlie Rose: “I think he’s doing amazingly...He is a big, bold progressive and he has an...incredibly ambitious agenda...When I look at the things he’s done in such a short time...it makes my head spin.”

While both ABC's Good Morning America and CBS This Morning on Monday covered the latest developments in the Hillary Clinton e-mail scandal and the Clinton Foundation accepting money from foreign governments, NBC's Today didn't bother to update viewers on either of the controversies continuing to swirl around the likely 2016 contender.

Charlie Rose, on his PBS show, couldn’t resist asking actor Kevin Spacey about his “bromance” with former President Bill Clinton. The star of House of Cards -- whom CNN recently hired for their documentary on the 2016 presidential candidates -- revealed how tight he is with the ex-president. Spacey: "I was a true friend. The political writing team of John Heilemann and Mark Halperin came on Charlie Rose’s PBS show, on Tuesday, to dissect Hillary Clinton’s e-mail scandal press conference and while the two were mostly critical, Halperin was definitely the softer of the two as he thought Hillary could escape yet another scandal: “I think her performance today is enough to have Democrats come back into her corner...Based on her performance and her answers this will largely go away, except if there are new revelations.”

On Thursday’s CBS This Morning, reporter Nancy Cordes concluded a fairly balanced report over the battle between members of Congress and the White House surrounding nuclear negotiations with Iran by uncritically quoting the Supreme Leader of Iran slamming the GOP letter to his country as “ridiculous, disgusting, and gross.”

On Wednesday, CBS This Morning was the only network morning show to cover the Obama administration’s decision to drop their proposed ban on ammunition that is commonly used in the AR-15. After the “big three” (ABC, CBS, and NBC) all ignored the bullet ban reversal during their Tuesday night broadcasts, CBS’s Charlie Rose devoted a mere 20 seconds to the decision by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, And Explosives (ATF) to not ban the specific type of ammunition. ABC's Good Morning America and NBC's Today ignored the story altogether.

The Obama administration’s end-around attempt at gun control, through a ban on bullets used by owners of the popular AR-15 rifle, was beaten back today when the ATF announced it will hold off on a proposed ammo ban. The question is will ABC, CBS and NBC report this stinging defeat for Barack Obama and anti-gun rights advocates?

NBC and ABC barely covered the possible corruption case against Democratic Senator Robert Menendez on their Friday evening newscasts. Together, the two networks set aside 49 seconds of air time to news briefs on Senator Menendez being "the subject of a corruption investigation over jet trips he took on the private plane of a Florida eye doctor," as Lester Holt put it on NBC Nightly News.

On Thursday night, the CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News neglected to mention video that had surfaced earlier in the day of Hillary Clinton attacking the Bush administration in 2007 over their supposed email practices. Instead of mentioning this latest example of hypocrisy by a Clinton, CBS touted a Democratic Congressman who lamented that this story is merely “in the realm of presidential politics” while NBC’s Andrea Mitchell pushed a Clinton-camp talking point and dubbed the scandal as just “fuss.”
