During an appearance on CBS This Morning to preview Thursday's GOP presidential debate, Kentucky Senator Rand Paul harshly criticized the media for giving Donald Trump so much coverage while ignoring the other 16 candidates running for president. After Charlie Rose wondered why Paul’s message failed to connect with the voters in the same way as Trump, the Kentucky senator explained that Trump "had a little bit of help. Y'all covered him with about a billion dollars’ worth of news media.”

On Thursday, CBS This Morning cheered Bernie Sanders’ “unconventional presidential campaign” as “evidence that a lot of little gatherings can add up to one massive crowd.” Host Charlie Rose lauded Sanders for “showing us again this morning that his campaign his different. The Vermont Senator could not leave Washington, so he streamed a speech to thousands of small gatherings around the country.”

Louisiana Governor and Republican presidential candidate Bobby Jindal appeared on Wednesday’s CBS This Morning and was repeatedly hit by the show’s hosts over his approval rating and over Mike Huckabee’s recent comments on the Iranian nuclear deal.

While English-networks ABC and NBC combined with Spanish-language networks MundoFox, Telemundo, and Univision on Thursday night to skip testimony from Secretary of State John Kerry in a Senate hearing on the Iran deal, CBS covered it in a news brief, but only summarized it and ignored false statements by Kerry as he faced criticism from both sides of the aisle. In contrast, the FNC's Special Report not only had a full segment on the hearing, but a takedown of three claims by Kerry.

Despite the revelation on Wednesday that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) made secret side deals with Iran over nuclear weapons inspections and refused to disclose the details to the U.S. Congress, NBC, ABC, and CBS all ignored the story. By contrast, FNC’s Special Report led with the news as anchor Bret Baier informed viewers “there is word tonight of a separate covert deal between the Islamic Republic and the U.N.’s nuclear team. Two of them, in fact, that are not going to be shared with members of Congress nor with you.”

Liberal New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio sat down for a friendly interview on Thursday’s CBS This Morning and the three hosts repeatedly pushed him from the left on a variety of issues ranging from his fight with Uber to his relationship with Pope Francis on climate change and income inequality. Charlie Rose complained: ”It seems like Uber whenever it's challenged simply gets its way in the end.”

On Wednesday night, major broadcast networks CBS and NBC showed no interest in shedding light on the findings of new Quinnipiac poll that found Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s honest and trustworthy ratings are continuing to fall and she trails three possible GOP opponents in three battleground states. While the CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News focused exclusively on Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, ABC’s World News Tonight made time to report on both Trump and Clinton.

On Tuesday, CBS Evening News promoted a new study by global warming alarmist and NASA’s former climate chief James Hansen that predicts a “dire forecast about the climate in the years ahead.” Fill-in host Charlie Rose introduced the broadcast by fretting “[a]n ominous forecast for more scenes likes this, surging floodwaters and rising sea levels.”
