Presbyterians chanting “Death to America!” Methodists beheading people on video, and those hateful Episcopalian fundamentalists stoning women to death for being raped. The world is clearly in the grip of a Christian terror crisis. Well, no. But Marc Lamont Hill would have CNN viewers believe Christians are as terror-prone as Islamists. 

A CNN panel with host Don Lemon, CNN conservative commentator Ben Ferguson, and Lamont Hill argued about over the recent shootings in Texas by Islamic radicals over a “draw Mohammed” cartoon contest.

Los Angeles Times art critic Christopher Knight wrote that Pamela Geller and her “hateful ilk” displayed the “freedom to do something stupid.” But Knight wrote a passage that is surprisingly ignorant of what’s in the newspapers:

Closed to the press and public, the exclusive, invitation-only event includes the famous and not-so-famous, just so long as an attendee has at least $25,000 a year to give to causes “philanthropic” and political.

Bill Maher returned to bashing the Catholic Church on Friday's Real Time, as he discussed the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. After noting how the United States (more specifically, President Obama) would not use the word "genocide" to describe the mass murders, Maher pointed out, "You know who said it's a genocide? The Pope. The Pope was like f--- yeah, it's a genocide! The Pope has huge balls. You got to admit that. You would too if you were 78, and never had sex."

You can usually set your watch to it.

First, you learn about a "progressive" or liberal darling who makes a controversial, over-the-top statement which would get him or her in serious trouble with the general public if widely known. About 24 hours later, you visit establishment press coverage of the event, especially at the Associated Press, and find not a hint that anything controversial occurred.
