Some comments are even too shocking for the hard-left managers of Air America. Brian Maloney at Radio Equalizer has a breaking story:
An unhinged tirade by Air America Radio host Randi Rhodes has led to an unprecedented suspension from the network, according to its new management and several left- wing websites. This is a breaking story with details still emerging.
In a rant so salty it could make a sailor blush, Rhodes repeatedly called Hillary a "big f***ing whore", to both cheers and jeers from the audience. The afternoon drive talker was there on behalf of Air America at an event sponsored by the local affiliate.
In addition, Rhodes referred to former Democrat vice presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro as a "David Duke in Drag".
An unabashed Obama supporter, Rhodes has yet to address the situation on her website.
...In a short and cryptic statement from Air America Radio's new chairman, a vague reason for her suspension was given:

April 3, 2008New York - Air America has suspended on-air host Randi Rhodes for making inappropriate statements about prominent figures, including Senator Hillary Clinton, at a recent public appearance on behalf of Air America in San Francisco which was sponsored by an Air America affiliate station.
"Air America encourages strong opinions about public affairs but does not condone such abusive, ad hominem language by our Hosts," said chair Charlie Kireker.

We had to put up with her and her antics for years while she tried everything in the book to get someone to notice her -- AA did and now she's their problem -- BTW Randi will be an outlandish liberal, a died-in-the-wool conservative or anything you want her to be if only you put her on the air. Actually, if they dumped Rhodes, paid the fine, & moved on without her, they would be better off. 1 of the big reasons AAR went into hock in the past was they had decent money going to people like Rhodes & Franken, then they started stiffing their staffers, creditors, & eventually their on air talent(I know calling Rhodes & Franken talent is a stretch, but even pornographers have talent scouts). I'm not sure if Franken was ever paid everything he was owed by AAR.
None of this includes the money they stiffed the kids charity. What if ANY of this crap could be said about saaaay, the EIB Network? The MSM would cut into all programming to cover it in an all out effort to bury El-Rushbo.

Think about it, working at AAR is like doing time in hell. They don't make money, you have to worry if your paycheck will bounce, & nobody listens to AAR. You would notice America without El-Rushbo or Hannity, NOBODY will miss Randi Rhodes, NOBODY misses Al Franken, & NOBODY knows that AAR is still on the air.
