Josh Marshall: Sharyl Attkisson Has 'Serious Temperament Issues' and Sounds 'Nuts'

In a Monday-morning blog post, Talking Points Memo editor and publisher Josh Marshall commented that ex-CBS reporter Sharyl Attkisson appears to have "serious temperament issues" given that she wondered if a liberal organization might have taken money to, in Marshall's words, "go after her because of her reporting on Benghazi and other rightwing bugaboos."

Marshall's post, which is headlined "How To Make Yourself Sound Nuts 101":

Sharyl Attkisson is the former CBS News reporter who left the network over what she claimed was liberal bias. After her computer was allegedly hacked by someone in late 2012 (seemingly confirmed by a network investigation) she hinted that President Obama's surveillance operatives might be behind it. Now she says Media Matters may have been paid to go after her because of her reporting on Benghazi and other rightwing bugaboos.

I'm sorry but Attkisson has some serious temperament issues....

They certainly wouldn't need anyone to pay them off to go after her. It's more like people fund Media Matters precisely so they can keep tabs on and bust the chops of people like Sharyl Attkisson.

Again, if Media Matters' intention was to gaslight her, they appear to have succeeded in spades.

(FYI, "gaslight" in the above context means, in Dictionary.com's definition, "to cause (a person) to doubt his or her sanity through the use of psychological manipulation." It derives from a 1938 play on which the 1944 Ingrid Bergman-Charles Boyer movie "Gaslight" was based.)

In a related matter, Republican consultant Cheri Jacobus claimed Monday on Twitter that Marshall is a misogynist based on his attacks on  Attkisson;  a a female reporter (Salena Zito) who "expos[ed] his race baiting"; and Jacobus herself:
