Just a few weeks ago, comedian Margaret Cho ranted on Twitter in defense of Planned Parenthood that “God created abortion” and “It's not a child -- it's a bunch of cells. And the definition of 'child' is not yours to decide. It's the woman's.”

But in the October 25 edition of People magazine, Cho expressed her desire to kill molesters and  animal abusers like Michael Vick, the NFL quarterback who served 21 months in prison for his involvement in a dog-wrestling ring:

“I want to kill every child molester, every rapist, anybody who unnecessarily abused an animal,” she triumphantly declares. “Michael Vick is f—king dead!”

People’s Aaron Couch explained: “Such extreme statements may not be the stuff of the average stand-up routine, but Cho’s passionate rage comes from a very personal place.” Cho “endured years of abuse at the hands of a family friend, who molested her for more than seven years, beginning when she was just 5 years old. At 14, she was raped by a different acquaintance.

Cho said she was inspired by Joan Rivers, and felt sheltered by Rivers, Brett Butler, Rosie O’Donnell, and Roseanne Barr. In her new comedy show,

[S]he gleefully sings a song called I Want to Kill My Rapist. “When I’ve performed it live, women in the audience were screaming and crying and singing along,” she says. “They felt unburdened by it. Sharing the suffering alleviates the burden. And that’s what I’m trying to do.”
