Mothers of Celebrities Make the Newest ObamaCare Pitch to the Young

Daniel Halper at The Weekly Standard noted the latest Obamacare push on YouTube: an ad featuring the mothers of entertainers Jonah Hill, Alicia Keys, Adam Levine, and Jennifer Lopez.

Um, as if any of these famous young millionaires don’t have health insurance? Scratch that logic, this is about appealing to celebrity-obsessed Millenials. (Video below)

"Jonah flooded the elementary school. Jonah would lie on top of my dashboard, and literally not get off," says Jonah Hill's mother Sharon Feldstein. "Trust me, us moms put up with a lot. But one thing we should never have to put up with is our kid not having health care."

"Young people feel invincible," says Adam Levine's mom. "And until something actually happens, they will continue to feel invincible. And unfortunately things do happen."

Feldstein adds, "Seriously, do you want your mothers to have a nervous breakdown? You need health insurance. It's imperative that you have health insurance. ... Taking care of yourself so your mothers can sleep and have a nice life after all they've done for you is not too much to ask in my opinion."

“There’s nothing worse for a mom than feeling their child is not protected, no matter how old they are,” says the mother of Alicia Keys.

Michelle Obama is brought in at the end of the video to wrap up the sales job, loaded with guilt: "We nag you because we love you. So go to healthcare.gov and enroll today."
