MRC’s Brent Bozell Decries Andrea Mitchell’s 'Love Fest' With Hillary Clinton

September 24th, 2016 5:54 PM

MRC President Brent Bozell appeared on Fox News, Saturday, to discuss the leaked e-mails of NBC and MSNBC journalist Andrea Mitchell decrying Donald Trump’s nomination as “awful.” Talking to Cost of Freedom host Neil Cavuto, Bozell sarcastically replied, “Be still my heart at the revelation.”

He went on to say that this was a classic case of a journalist “slipping” and revealing her bias. (Mitchell was e-mailing Colin Powell at the time she made the remark.) Bozell pointed out just how cozy Clinton is with Mitchell.

Earlier in September, the Democrat replied to a softball from the journalist and cheered, “I love you Andrea. You are indefatigable.” She went on to say, “You’re my kind of woman.” MSNBC was so proud, the nework used the moment in a commercial.

A partial transcript of Bozell’s appearance is below:

BRENT BOZELL: Be still my heart at the revelation. My goodness. Is anybody, anybody surprised? But here's something interesting: You know this. When you're interviewing someone of a stature of Colin Powell about something as significant as “are you going to turn on Donald Trump?” as if she's trying to get that interview, what's going to always ---  not always happen, but the thing that might happen is the person you're trying to interview slips and says something. It is very, very, very rare that the reporter slips and lets go of his or her own biases and she did that. Now, are we surprised? Just two weeks before she was doing --- she was in a press conference with Hillary Clinton on the tarmac of the airport and she lobbed Hillary a softball question. Hillary's answer to her was, and I quote, “I love you Andrea. You are indefatigable.” She went on to say, “You’re my kind of woman.” This is a love fest going on between the press and Hillary Clinton and all you saw in the e-mail was evidence of that.
