Joy Behar to Sanders: Stop Calling Yourself a Socialist! You’re a Liberal!

January 22nd, 2016 4:10 PM

Joy Behar, who has previously said she is “aroused” by the “hot” Bernie Sanders, on Friday advised the self-admitted socialist to stop calling himself a socialist. During a discussion of the Democratic primary on The View, Behar complained, “He calls himself a socialist. He’s just a liberal. He’s a liberal. He's as liberal as Obama.” (Whether that said more about Sanders or Obama, Behar didn’t explain.)

Behar lectured, “I don't know why he has the label on himself. I mean, people don't understand what he says hen he says he's a socialist.” Justifying, she added, “He’s not going to nationalize all the industries. He's not going to make the state own industries.”

Behar is a fan of both Hillary Clinton and Sanders. Earlier in the segment, she worried, “So if Hillary seems really qualified, which I think she is, then why is he beating her? He's going to crush her in Iowa.”

On October 14, 2015, Behar blurted of Sanders: “I actually am aroused by him. I’m serious. I find him to be eye candy, not ear candy, eye candy. “ On October 26, 2015, she bragged about getting a kiss from the socialist and said, “I’m feeling the Bern.”
