Barbara Walters to Interview the Obamas Day After Thanksgiving

With ObamaCare and his poll numbers in total freefall, the President is doing what any smart Democratic president would do.

Finding a friendly media member to sit down with the day after Thanksgiving so that he and his wife are welcomed into millions of living rooms in a cozy setting that allows them to show the nation how lovable they are despite his lies about being able to keep your health insurance if you liked it (via TVNewser):

Barbara Walters will interview President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama in their first joint interview this year. The interview will be Walters’ fifth interview with the couple.

The interview will air on a “20/20″ Thanksgiving special on November 29.

As NewsBusters reported, Walters did a Christmas time interview with the Obamas last year that included absolutely no political questions, but did yield a critical discussion about their dog Bo.

The previous Christmas, Walters actually asked the President, "If you were a superhero and you could have one super power, what would it be?"

The previous Thanksgiving, Walters allowed Obama to advance the myth that presidents always lose Congress in midterm elections.

And, after her first interview with the Obamas during Thanksgiving week 2008, Walters actually told Good Morning America's Robin Roberts, "They're very...I don't know how to put it, I don't want to gush. They're very cute, and they're very funny in this interview together."

She actually said, "I don't want to gush."

I guess she just can't help it - which makes her the perfect tonic for what's currently ailing the Obamas.

Happy Thanksgiving.
