They say the truth often comes out in humor.
At Saturday’s White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner, President Obama said, “MSNBC used to work for David Axelrod” (video follows with transcript and commentary):
BARACK OBAMA: Some of my former advisers have switched over to the dark side. For example, David Axelrod now works for MSNBC - which is a nice change of pace since MSNBC used to work for David Axelrod.
As the audience laughed and the camera panned to Axelrod, you have to wonder how many in the crowd knew the President was speaking the truth.
One also wonders if the President and Axelrod know it, and what the folks at Comcast think about the fact that every person in the country with a better than room temperature intelligence quotient knows it.
