Leno Strikes Again: 'NBC Is a Big Number Two'

Jay Leno continued his public feud with the Peacock network Wednesday.

The embattled Tonight Show host practically began his show with the tremendously derogatory remark, "NBC is a big number two" (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):

Leno began his opening monogue saying, "Monday night, the primetime shows The Voice and Revolution moved NBC into the number two position."

“You know what that means?" he asked. "Between Easter and Passover, this is truly the season of miracles. We’re number two. Amazing!"

Then Leno hit the Peacock network right between the eyes.

"And I’ve been saying that for the last week that NBC is a big number two. Haven’t I been saying that? Yeah, so good. Congratulations!”

For those possibly unfamiliar, "number two" is an old expression for a bowel movement.

A few minutes later, Leno mentioned that a man was arrested Tuesday trying to smuggle a cellphone into Charles Manson's prison cell.

"God, those T-Mobile representatives are relentless, aren't they?" he joked.

"Speaking of T-Mobile," Leno continued, "they announced yesterday they're doing away with contracts. So apparently they got the idea from NBC. I'm not sure how that works."
