It appears Mitt Romney is intent on winning his home state of Michigan next month.

On Monday, Kid Rock will introduce Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan at a campaign event in Rochester Hills ending months of speculation about the Detroit rocker's political support.

According to a press release obtained by MLive.com, "Kid Rock is one of many award-winning, platinum-selling artists from a variety of genres who are supporting the Romney/Ryan ticket by performing at events and rallies around the country."

There's been a lot of speculation the outspoken rocker was going to endorse the GOP ticket.

In August, Kid Rock entertained attendees of the Republican National Convention at a concert in Ybor City.

Monday's event is called "Victory Rally with Paul Ryan & the GOP Team Michigan" and will take place at Oakland University’s Athletics Center O’rena.

The Real Clear Politics poll average for Michigan shows Obama currently with a 10 point lead.
