Bad News for Wall Street Protesters: It's Going To Be a VERY Cold Winter

The Occupy Wall Street protesters either better get their point across quickly or buy themselves - from small, non-profit, non-publicly traded companies, of course! - warmer clothing and higher quality sleeping bags.

Although the global warming obsessed media are mostly ignoring this, scientists are predicting a very cold winter in the northern hemisphere:

BRITAIN is set to suffer a mini ice age that could last for decades and bring with it a series of bitterly cold winters.

And it could all begin within weeks as experts said last night that the mercury may soon plunge below the record -20C endured last year.

Scientists say the anticipated cold blast will be due to the return of a disruptive weather pattern called La Nina. Latest evidence shows La Nina, linked to extreme winter weather in America and with a knock-on effect on Britain, is in force and will gradually strengthen as the year ends.

The climate phenomenon, characterised by unusually cold ocean temperatures in the Pacific, was linked to our icy winter last year – one of the coldest on record.

And it coincides with research from the Met Office indicating the nation could be facing a repeat of the “little ice age” that gripped the country 300 years ago, causing decades of harsh winters.

The prediction, to be published in Nature magazine, is based on observations of a slight fall in the sun’s emissions of ultraviolet radiation, which may, over a long period, trigger Arctic conditions for many years.

Obviously, such a La Nina condition would make temperatures in America far colder than normal as well.

Not surprisingly, information concerning this forecast isn't being disseminated by many global warming obsessed news outlets in the States.

Bucking the trend was Pennsylvania's Tribune-Democrat Sunday:

The Cambria-Somerset region was expected to have a milder winter with less snow than last year, according to the Old Farmer’s Almanac, but unexpected activity in the Pacific Ocean appears to be changing that forecast.

La Nina, a naturally occurring climate phenomenon located over the tropical Pacific Ocean, has unexpectedly returned for a second year, likely meaning colder temperatures for the winter of 2011-2012 than originally believed.

“We really didn’t see that. Suddenly it’s re-formed,” said Mare-Anne Jarvella, senior research editor for the almanac.

“La Nina may cause a little problem for us,” Jarvella said. “This may cause some cooler temperatures.”

Which means that not only will Wall Street protesters be inconvenienced, so will Global Warmingist-in-Chief Al Gore.
