Maher: If We 'Fire Every Southern Hillbilly Who Thinks Obama Is Like Hitler, Who Will Be Our Republican Congressmen?'

If it's Friday, Bill Maher must be saying something offensive about conservatives.

True to form, during his opening monologue on HBO's "Real Time," the host quipped about ESPN terminated its relationship with Hank Williams Jr. this week, "If we're going to fire every southern hillbilly who thinks Obama is like Hitler, who will be our Republican Congressmen?

BILL MAHER: Speaking of rednecks who got in trouble, Hank Williams Jr., did you see this, got his ass kicked off of Monday Night Football for, well, his crime was comparing Obama to Hitler on Fox News, or as it used to be called The Glenn Beck Show. And I don't agree with that applause. I don’t think, you know, I'm a free speech guy. I've been kicked off TV before. I don't care. I don't agree of course with Hank Williams on what day of the week it is, but I don't think he should get kicked off of TV just for expressing yourself.

And I ask you, America, if we're going to fire every southern hillbilly who thinks Obama is like Hitler, who will be our Republican Congressmen?

[Applause]

Who will work at our waffle houses? Who will hunt at our N-ggerhead ranches? I ask you, ladies and gentlemen. But look, if you're missing Hank Williams Jr., you will still be able to hear his music wherever women are assaulted on pool tables. I thought we said no booing. Didn't we go over that before? And Rick Perry assured Hank Williams that he has a job singing his theme song once Texas starts televising executions.

On second thought, I have no comment.

This hateful invective pointed out such a large percentage of Americans speaks for itself.
