Nets Ignore E-Mail Exposing Large Clinton Foundation Gift from the King of Morocco

News broke Thursday of a new Clinton campaign e-mail exposed by WikiLeaks that reinforces the persistent notion that the Clinton Foundation is a pay-for-play scheme. And yet the “Big Three” networks ABC, CBS, and NBC pretended like it didn’t even happen. “New scrutiny tonight on the Clinton Foundation coming from what were supposed to be private e-mails,” stated Fox News Anchor Bret Baier on Special Report, moving on to ask, “How much money and how much influence were on the table in dealings involving the Clinton family charity?”

Fox News Chief National Correspondent Ed Henry noted that Bill Clinton once received criticism for negotiating a $1 million contribution to the Clinton Foundation, but what Hillary was able to lure out of donor was much greater. “A WikiLeaks e-mail surfaced showing the candidate herself lined up a $12 million commitment from the King Mohammed the VI of Morocco,” Henry reported.

The $12 million revelation was discussed in an e-mail chain between Clinton’s top aide Huma Abedin, Campaign Manager Robby Mook, and Campaign Chairman, John Podesta. The three were frantic by how shady the donation would look as they approached the date Clinton would announce her candidacy for president, with Abedin spitting, ““She created this mess and she knows it.””

According to Henry’s report the huge donation was so that the King of Morocco would be able to have a meeting with Clinton. And in an e-mail send by Mook it was clear that Clinton was very persistent in wanting the donation.

Reading from an e-mail Henry said:

Abedin replied, “The condition upon which the Moroccans agreed to host the meeting was her participation. This was HRC's idea. Our office approached the Moroccans and they 100 percent believe they are doing this at her request. The King has personally committed approximately $12 million.”

At the debate, Clinton avoided Donald Trump’s demand to return any donation from any country not favorable to human rights. Ironically, “In 2011, Clinton State Department charged the Moroccan government was behind arbitrary arrests and corruption,” as reported by Henry.

The networks’ blatant blackout of this development is just another example of the liberal media burying anything that can damage their candidate, because they’re with her.

BRET BAIER: But first, new scrutiny tonight on the Clinton Foundation coming from what were supposed to be private e-mails. How much money and how much influence were on the table in dealings involving the Clinton family charity? And how much did Hillary Clinton play a role as secretary of state? Chief National Correspondent Ed Henry has tonight's top story. Good evening Ed.

ED HENRY: Good evening Bret. We have heard about the former President bill Clinton getting a $1 million check for that foundation from Qatar. But this time we can directly tie Hillary Clinton to a much larger check.

As Hillary Clinton dodged a question at the final presidential debate about charges of pay to play at the Clinton foundation, a WikiLeaks e-mail surfaced showing the candidate herself lined up a $12 million commitment from the King Mohammed the VI of Morocco. The revelation coming from Clinton’s loyal aide Huma Abedin, who wrote in a January 2015 e-mail, “She created this mess and she knows it.”

The mess refers to Clinton initially agreeing to speak at a May 2015 Clinton Global Initiative event in Morocco. Though Politico reported at the time a $1 million contribution from the Moroccan government might stoke more controversy. The contribution was actually far bigger, $12 million according to the e-mail from Abedin. Responding to top aides Robby Mook and John Podesta, they were worried it would harm the April 2015 launch of the former secretary of state's campaign.

Mook writing, “Came up on our call with HRC. John flagged the same issues we discussed, Huma. HRC said she's still considering.” Abedin replied, “The condition upon which the Moroccans agreed to host the meeting was her participation. This was HRC's idea. Our office approached the Moroccans and they 100 percent believe they are doing this at her request. The King has personally committed approximately $12 million.”

In 2011, Clinton State Department charged the Moroccan government was behind arbitrary arrests and corruption. In last night Donald Trump demanded Clinton give back large contributions from countries with questionable human rights records.

Tell the Truth 2016

Clinton did not answer that and ducked a question from Chris Wallace.

HILLARY CLINTON: Everything I did as secretary of state was in furtherance of our country's interests and our values.

HENRY: The Moroccan event ended up being led by Bill and Chelsea Clinton while Hillary Clinton skipped it. Even though Abedin warned, “It will break a lot of china…” with the Moroccan government.

LANNY DAVIS: When you are in a sausage factory, it doesn't always look so good.

HENRY: Lanny Davis added though, the focus should be on the good works of the Clinton Foundation, especially fighting AIDS around the world. And he told me Abedin’s e-mail should not be taken quote, “too literally.”
