Co-Host on 'The View' Roots for Cruz to 'Fall' Due to His 'Crazy Moral Code'

Even though there is very little evidence that the National Enquirer story about Senator Ted Cruz, sleeping with five women while married, is true, that has not stopped some from reveling in the effect it will have on his campaign. “Someone like Ted Cruz I would like to see him fall, personally. He's not a good guy,” co-host and "comedian" Michelle Collins asserted on Monday's The View.

Collins could not hold back her joy for what a scandal like this could do to the Senator, blasting all of Christianity in the process. “He's such a guy about family values, you know, and he lives by this kind of crazy moral code. So I love to watch people like that fall.” A surprising personal attack since devout Christian co-host Candace Cameron Bure was sitting right next to her. Cameron Bure wasted no time retorting Collins’ hate filled attack. “Crazy moral code? Michelle, crazy moral code? He lives by Christian values from what he says he does and that's a crazy moral code?

Collins tried to clarify saying that “it would be quite satisfying” for someone who lives by a moral code to be caught violating said code. She also attempted to put her co-host’s unease to rest by sarcastically commenting, “I love a code girl. Listen, I love a bible, you know me, I really do.” Candace hit back by saying she couldn’t find joy in the pain of others:

CAMERON BURE: Girlfriend I love you, but I am so disagreeing with you in this. I can't find the humor in that. I can’t.

COLLINS: You can’t find like a satisfaction to watch somebody who stands for something ruined?

CAMERON BURE: No, I can't find satisfaction in seeing anybody being ruined. I really don’t.

COLLINS: When someone like Ted Cruz is, I find it.

Throughout the whole three minute conversation about Cruz’s alleged infidelity, it was not mentioned that two of the five “mistresses,” one of whom is a Donald Trump surrogate, have said the accusations were false. But damned be the facts. Collins could only mock Ted Cruz for his appearance: There are always cheating scandals. And I’ve—I for one hope it is true because, not only would I like to see which five women would want to sleep with Ted Cruz which would be fascinating." Laughter followed....on the show where Joy Behar declares she is aroused by Bernie Sanders

MICHELLE COLLINS: There are always scandals though. I mean listen, this is—it happened with the Democrats too. There are always cheating scandals. And I’ve—I for one hope it is true because, not only would I like to see which five women would want to sleep with Ted Cruz, which would be fascinating – [Laughter]. But because I would like—I’m being real. Because—

CANDACE CAMERON BURE: Michelle, that's a horrible thing to say.

COLLINS: No excuse me!

[Inaudible]

It’s something I like to call keeping it 100 on The View, like [inaudible].  Then more so than that, just to see and show what a hypocrite he would be, if it is true cause it’s alleged. But you know, he's such a guy about family values, you know, and he lives by this kind of crazy moral code. So I love to watch people like that fall.

CAMERON BURE: Crazy moral code? Michelle, crazy moral code? He lives by Christian values from what he says he does and that's a crazy moral code?

Tell the Truth 2016

COLLINS: No, no that—You know, you have a point actually. Let's just call it a moral code. But the point is that if he did cheat, it would be quite satisfying. That's all I'm saying. I'm not calling his— I’m not calling-- I love a code girl. Listen, I love a bible, you know me I really do. But, but I just like to see people like that.

CAMERON BURE: I want, I want, I want to believe the best in people. I want to hope the best in people. We know not all people are good. And we all don’t make good decisions all of the time but I always want to hope and root for people. So I, I, I, I—

COLLINS: Ok I like that. You're a very good person. Candace is a better person than me.

CAMERON BURE: It's not like being a better person.

COLLINS: No you really are. You’re very-- listen-- Someone like Ted Cruz I would like to see him fall, personally. He's not a good guy, but yeah.

RAVEN- SYMONE: Again, talking about the adults versus the kids and everything else that's going on, this is what our country is showing the rest of the world and this is what our country is saying “this is what we care about.” In the news they talk about it, in our magazines. And I will go back and say, you know, trash news that's what we're used to. That's what we love reading. That’s what we—

WHOOPI GOLDBERG: Entertainment.

SYMONE: Entertainment. And it's turned into that and then we get confused and astonished that other countries aren't taking us seriously or we’re-- other groups and people want to -- they don't like us. Maybe we should put a better foot forward, especially if you're going to be running for president, even-- whatever it is. I just find it interesting.

CAMERON BURE: I agree.

JEDEDIAH BILA: I agree with you though. I think this story is interesting because there would be hypocrisy here. Because Ted Cruz is someone who talks about moral values. He is someone who gets a little preachy. I have a problem with his delivery. If there were something in his closet that was the antithesis of what he was preaching to the public, I would have a problem with it. The same as I would have a problem with Bernie Sanders or Hillary Clinton or anyone on the left or Bill Clinton when I did have a problem with character issues. I think if you’re going to have a problem with character issues, have a problem across the board regardless of politics. So I hear what you're saying. I can hear what you're saying.

COLLINS: It’s the holier than thou thing that gets to me. If he is indeed not keeping to that level. But we all love each other.
