Brent Bozell on Fox: Press Corps Should Be 'Perturbed,' Not Chuckle at, Christi Parsons's Fan Girl Act

"This is the blue chip ensemble of journalists in America," the Media Research Center founder noted, and yet, "no one, but nobody seemed the least bit perturbed that she and [President Obama] are playing kissy-face in a press conference. Nobody was at all surprised by that. What does that tell you about our press corps?" Bozell asked. [watch the full "Media Mash" segment below the page break]

Also discussed in the "Media Mash" segment was Chris Matthew's penchant to take innocuous words conservatives say and insist they are proof of racism.

"Radicals on the Left" like MSNBC's Chris Matthews whose ears prick up at alleged "dog whistles" and "code words" in conservative political rhetoric are simply "telling conservatives you cannot not only be a conservative, you cannot talk like a conservative," Bozell noted.

The Fox News host replied with his theory: "How about this is a political tactic to silence opposition and to advance a false, lying narrative that if you're a conservative, you're racist? How about that?" "Sure," Bozell agreed, noting that the media take the mere fact that President Obama is black to conclude that conservatives opposing him have to be by definition racist.
