“It has been the most hostile, most negative reaction to a new president that I can remember, and I’ve been doing this for more than 30 years,” MRC Research Director Rich Noyes told Fox and Friends Saturday host Abby Huntsman. Noyes was on Fox to discuss the recent MRC study which revealed that network evening news show coverage of President Trump in his first 80 days in office has been an astounding 89 percent negative.

“You say that there used to be something called a ‘honeymoon period,’ when a president gets elected,” Huntsman said. “You know, those first 100 days where, regardless of party, the media lets them figure out what it means to be president, gives them sort of the benefit of the doubt. You say that we have not seen that at all this time around.”

“Not this time, no,” Noyes confirmed. “Eight years ago, Chris Matthews, after the election, said his job as a journalist was to help the new president, Barack Obama, succeed. That’s not the way the media – the liberal media at least – are treating President Trump in his first 100 days.”
