Newsweek 'Wimp'-ing Out of Real Coverage of the Disastrous Obama Economy

"There is absolutely no way Barack Obama can win reelection running on his record and the news media know this," NewsBusters publisher Brent Bozell told Fox News's Eric Bolling at the top of today's Your World with Neil Cavuto.

Newsweek's current edition, featuring the headline, "The Wimp Factor: Is he [Mitt Romney] just too insecure to be president?" is just the latest example of the media's attempt to distract the American public from the president's dismal economic record, the Media Research Center president told Bolling, who was substituting for Cavuto. Bolling and Bozell also contrasted the way that Newsweek devoted four cover photos in 2008 to Obama, all of them very positive (see images below).

"At this point in 2008, they had done eight covers on Barack Obama. They all could have looked like press releases," Bozell noted, adding that would be fine if there was equal treatment for the Republican candidates, which there's not. "Instead, for the Republicans, you get 'wimp factor.'"
