The liberal media just can’t seem to get anything right -- even math. Journalists were eager to follow in the wake of Rachel Maddow's tax fiasco. ABC and CBS evening news shows reported that Trump paid an effective tax rate of about 25 percent in 2005. But, as The Federalist’s Sean Davis noted, this is flat out wrong. Trump’s effective tax rate for 2005 was 79 percent. That’s more than three times higher than reported.

According to the Guttmacher Institute (GI), which once boasted ties to Planned Parenthood, 17 states use taxpayer money to fund abortion.

Journalists on CNN, Thursday, made no effort to disguise the disdain and rage they hold for the White House. Anchor Don Lemon compared Sean Spicer to the Adam Sandler movie Billy Madison. After playing an extended clip of March 16 press conference, Lemon mocked Spicer: “Did anyone see Billy Madison? The game show scene? ‘Everyone in this room is dumber for having listened to that.’ I hope that you're not dumber and I hope we're providing information.”

A Wonkblog item at the Washington Post about immigrants who have been receiving food stamps allegedly deciding to cancel their enrollment has been sharply criticized for a headline change which occurred a short time after the entry went up. It was: "Immigrants are now canceling their food stamps for fear that Trump will deport them"; now it's "Immigrants are going hungry so Trump won't deport them." Despite the headline revision's alarmism, that's nowhere near the most serious problem with Caitlin Dewey's post.

After the Trump Administration released a budget proposal for 2018 early Thursday, the media threw a fit at the suggested cuts to programs like the Environmental Protection Agency and National Institute of Health. ABC and NBC’s evening news programs Thursday even hyped that the poor and those suffering from cancer would be hurt the most by the proposed cuts. Journalists also took to Twitter to express their dismay and outrage at the budget for daring to redistribute spending on these programs to national security.

There has been much rancor over gay conversion therapy programs for decades, but the topic has again been hotly debated as of late with Vice President Mike Pence’s support for such programs as well as Ken Blackwell, Domestic Policy Advisor to the Trump Presidential Transition Team. ABC’s 20/20 revived the debate in an exposé last week, as well. Though judging by the reviews, the exposé leaned heavily in favor of those who demonize such programs.
