Another Bad Sign for Obama: Apologist Ed Schultz Wonders if Obama Will Run for Re-Election

First it was Jon Stewart going wobbly. Now this.

Ominous enough for Obama that a left-wing propagandist like Stewart should turn on him, as Stewart did in skewering Obama's initial response to the arrest of Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr.

All of a day later, on Friday, liberal radio and MSNBC host Ed Schultz said this on his radio show about Obama's lackluster performance at his July 22 press conference (click here for audio) --

I thought the president was off his game the other night. You may disagree. At times I thought he looked like he was a beaten man. You may disagree. And there was just a moment that went through my body, soul, mind -- I wonder if he's going to run for re-election? I mean it, that's how I felt!

Just goes to show that at least one alleged parallel between Obama and Jimmy Carter doesn't stand up to scrutiny. As I recall, it was not until the third year of Carter's term that he looked like a beaten man, somewhere between the attack of that killer rabbit and Carter dropping out of a 10-kilometer road race.

Schultz quickly reverted to form, however, saying this about Obama clarifying his remarks on Sgt. James Crowley, the Cambridge police officer who arrested Gates (here for audio) --

Can I just say that this police sergeant's a flat-out idiot? It was a serious error in judgment and now the president, the White House is saying they regret the fact that he addressed it at the press conference. The president shouldn't regret addressing anything, anywhere, any time!

Next thing you know, the peasants will think he's mortal!
