Libs Gone Insane: Celebrating Cop Killer Mumia Abu-Jamal

July 29th, 2016 8:34 AM

In the midst of Convention Insanity II, other things did exist in the liberal universe. That universe has tons of interesting characters in it -- from cop killers to crass comedians.

What’s amazing is watching how liberals try to redefine morality. The old version is faith, family and freedom (hat tip to our good friends at the Family Research Council for that nice shorthand). Now the liberal version: hating police, abortion, mooching, and everywhere playing the victim. That’s not a political strategy, it’s like the mantra of an evil cult.

This week’s ridiculous selection:

Liberals Love Themselves A Cop Killer: It’s almost impossible to attend an organized liberal protest and not see a “Free Mumia” T-shirt. No, Mumia’s not a new ap for your phone. Mumia Abu-Jamal is a convicted Philadelphia cop-killer who liberals just adore. So much so that they even let him phone in from prison to comment on American politics like Democracy Now! did. Remember, Mumia is the piece of garbage who executed Off. Daniel Faulkner and was originally sentenced to death for it. The man The New York Times calls “perhaps the world's best known death-row inmate,” is a perfect symbol for liberals who pretend to love police like they did all week in Philadelphia. Actual cop killer quote about Trump: “But if you kind of turned off the screen and listened to the words, it’s the same message: fear, fear, fear, fear of the other, fear of blacks. ‘And only I can save you.’ It’s kind of a mixture of Frank Rizzo, Goldwater, Spiro Agnew, Dick Cheney, you know, and Hitler.” Liberal morality: Guy who runs a business is Hitler and guy who kills a police officer is a media star.

Let Her Eat Cake, Just Don’t Notice She Did: Amy Schumer has been the media’s It Girl long enough that her 15,000 calories of fame should be about up. No, that’s not a fat joke, it’s a reference to her “comedy” shtick. Honestly, making fun of people’s weight -- light or heavy -- is a bit demented and, even if I approved, I have, umm, no room to make that criticism. The truth is, Schumer isn’t fat unless you use the Hollywood scale where people who eat more than a stick of celery a meal are considered obese. But Schumer is a crass and vicious quasi-comedian who likes making skits about her mother’s vagina and joking that abortions are like Pringles. To her, there’s nothing inappropriate as long as it gets her attention. Unless you mention her weight. Attacks on her weight feed her ravenous shock machine. Which is why you see her stuffing cake in her face during a Marie Claire interview. Actual quote: “The Trainwreck star captioned the video with this pro tip: ‘If you eat cake with your hands it becomes hand cake.’ Genius.” There’s nothing genius about Schumer’s act. Hollywood loves crass comedians who attack the right. She’ll probably end up on Hip-Hop Hollywood Squares soon enough.

Let Him Eat Whatever’s In Your Dumpster: Liberals love freak shows -- from the people who live in the micro houses to Bronies (adult “men” who love My Little Pony.) The more your lifestyle appears insane to normal people, the more liberals embrace it. Enter official “dumpster diver” William Reid who “spends just $2.75 a year on food,” according to Huffington Post, as a mixture of film project and eco-insanity. Reid “only eats perfectly good food waste.” That means he goes digging through store trash bins and consumes what he finds. Yum! HuffPo claims he (actual quote) “eats like a king.” (King Rat, perhaps.) Second helping of actual quote: “Other people go shopping for their food. You know, I’ll go around back and see what’s available, just like it’s a regular grocery visit,” he explained, leaving out that most of us don’t dine with vermin and bugs. Unless we write for HuffPo which still avoids paying its bloggers.

Tell the Truth 2016

Who Wants Their ‘Free’ $1,000?: Liberals still want to give you a “free” $1,000 every month. Each and every one of you. Yes, that equals about $320 billion … a month. Or, $3.84 TRILLION a year. But remember, it’s free! (Current federal budget is $3.95 trillion, so that’s a bit of a spending hike.) The nutty people at Salon interviewed the nutty, but nice (try arguing with him on Twitter), former head of the SEIU Andy Stern pushing for his desired universal basic income. Watch this battle because even some libertarians believe in this insanity. Stern cites Martin Luther King Jr. as moral authority and Milton Friedman to try to convince conservatives of this giveaway. The theoretical idea is that it would replace other handouts. In reality, that’s a fantasy. Actual quote: “‘The belief is that, if you trust people and if you believe in the dignity of people’s own lives, then you give them choices,’ he continued. ‘That’s a conservative idea, but I think it’s a growing, growing idea around the country right now.’” Notice how the biggest welfare scheme in the history of mankind gets linked to a “conservative idea?”
