CNN: GOP Senate Intel Committee Members Are Sexist

June 14th, 2017 2:30 PM

BREAKING NEWS: GOP members of the Senate Intelligence Committee are sexist. That according to CNN New Day at least. On Wednesday morning, CNN senior legal analyst Jeffery Toobin confidently proclaimed that Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA) was interrupted during Tuesday’s hearing not because she was out of control, but because Republicans are sexist.

The political commentator dressed up as a legal analyst interjected his point within seconds of Harris’s name being mentioned: “Should I interrupt you the way all the men interrupted her?”

Co-host Alisyn Camerota was very appreciative for the opportunity to push the left’s agenda: “I appreciate you saying that...there is this now overlay of sexism at work...”

Toobin then expanded on his “legal” thoughts: "It also happened in the Comey testimony when Harris was told be a good girl. Don't ask such hard questions...I think it’s sexism. I think it’s like they are uncomfortable with women asking hard questions...”

CNN political analyst David Gregory also expressed agreement later in the show.

Right. It was the hard questions and not Harris’s refusal to allow Sessions to answer that made the Senators “uncomfortable.”

Here is a fuller version of the transcript:

TOOBIN: It also happened in the Comey testimony when Harris was told be a good girl. Don't ask such hard questions.

CAMEROTA: What is that?
