Earlier this week we brought you the story of Tim Tebow, and the Delta Airlines flight he was on. Where an elderly man on the flight suffered a heart attack. Tebow went to the wife of the passenger and comforted and prayed with her.
New Republic Writer: ‘Anti-Intellectualism’ of Conservatives Made Them ‘Easy Marks’ For Trump’s ‘Con Game’By Tom Johnson | | July 1, 2016 | 4:35 PM EDT
Whatever else Donald Trump is, he’s a skillful multitasker, suggested Jeet Heer in a Tuesday article. Trump is in the news mostly as a presidential candidate, of course, but Heer claims that his “real objective, win or lose, is relaunching his lucrative brand.” As for how Trump became the Republican party’s presumptive nominee even though politics wasn’t his top priority, Heer opined that there’s “something in the nature of the [GOP] and its conservative base that made them particularly vulnerable to Trump’s deceptions.”
In 1993, a Washington Post reporter wrote that the Christian right was “largely poor, uneducated, and easy to command.” Heer seems to believe that “uneducated” and “easy to command” describe enough of today’s conservatives, Christian or otherwise, to explain Trump’s popularity: "The anti-intellectualism that has been a mainstay of the conservative movement for decades also makes its members easy marks. After all, if you are taught to believe that the reigning scientific consensuses on evolution and climate change are lies, then you will lack the elementary logical skills that will set your alarm bells ringing when you hear a flim-flam artist like Trump."

Most parents take their kids to the doctor, or to have operations, for football injuries, really bad cases of strep, perhaps the kid fell off their bike? Or, had some kind of mishap in the pool? Or, maybe your transgender son, who thinks he’s a girl, needed his testosterone blocker switched out, and gets an erection during recovery? No?

Going into the Independence Day weekend, MSNBC’s Chris Matthews played the role of creeper on Friday’s Andrea Mitchell Reports as he excused former President Bill Clinton chatting with Attorney General Loretta Lynch amid Hillary’s FBI investigation because Bill is like the late Elvis Presley and “[h]is tail wags when he sees somebody he knows.”

A man with a concealed carry permit in South Carolina prevented a massacre in a nightclub. But this example of the Second Amendment saving lives hasn’t garnered media interests. According to a report on The Federalist, “A man with a concealed carry license stopped a shooter after the latter opened fire on a crowd of people at a nightclub in South Carolina early Sunday morning.”

MSNBC host and NBC News correspondent Andrea Mitchell was still at it on Friday afternoon lamenting that the Bill Clinton/Loretta Lynch airplane meeting has been “overshadowing” Hillary Clinton’s campaign and surmised that the former President wasn’t looking to “gain some influence” from the Attorney General as her Justice Department and FBI investigate Hillary’s private e-mail server.

Friday on Morning Joe, the conversation continued over the controversy surrounding former president Bill Clinton and his private plane rendezvous with Attorney General Loretta Lynch in Phoenix. There was a stark contrast between the reaction of the Morning Joe hosts to that of NBC News panelist, Chuck Todd. According to Joe and Mika, “There is no way [Bill and Hillary] don’t completely understand how completely inappropriate a meeting like that is.” Todd, on the other hand, boiled it down to “human error.”

Appearing on NBC’s Today on Friday, Bloomberg Politics editor Mark Halperin offered a laughably naive explanation for Bill Clinton’s controversial meeting with Attorney General Loretta Lynch: “The most obvious explanation and probably the right one, is Bill Clinton is a really social guy...” He cast Clinton and Lynch as celebrities who just ran into each other: “And we’ve all seen situations where famous people on the tarmac, the two planes, it's kind of fun, ‘Hey, let's go over and visit.’”

For the second day in a row, CBS This Morning co-host Gayle King on Friday touted the most innocent explanation for a secret meeting between Bill Clinton and Attorney General Loretta Lynch, despite the fact that the AG is in the middle of an FBI investigation of Hillary Clinton. Not seeing the problem, King sputtered, “It's almost like this is being treated like this is a House of Cards scene.”

Abortion went viral in the news this week -- from the Texas Supreme Court case to Senate Zika funding. But don’t look to the pro-abortion media to tell you what you need to know. That’s where Alli and Kat come in

Happy 4th of July! It’s time to celebrate all those American pastimes that liberals find offensive. This year, the victim of lefty political correctness is the classic patriotic ode “God Bless America.” The New York Daily News is wheezing the same dying breaths as many newspapers across the country. In the latest attempt to drive up readership, they’ve called in Gersh Kuntzman to troll average Americans on the most patriotic holiday.

In a display of awe and admiration, the cast of CBS This Morning were stunned to learn of the “generosity and trust” of Canadian families who currently host Syrian refugees in Toronto. During the interview with New York Times reporter Jodi Kantor, the hosts were excited to hear of the friendly and open Canadians while painting Americans (primarily Republicans) as “fearful” and Islamophobic.

CNN’s John Blake perfectly encapsulated one thing that outrages white Americans in the Obama era. The country elects a black president, and yet this only proves that racism is just as bad now...as when Emmett Till was beaten to death and then shot in the Jim Crow era for allegedly whistling at a white woman.
Blake, a "CNN Enterprise writer/producer," wrote a very tendentious commentary titled “What black America won't miss about Obama.” The answer is they won’t miss a massive outpouring of white racism attached to Obama.

E! Entertainment Television isn’t planning to celebrate America’s independence from the crown this Fourth of July. Its greatest patriotic effort has mustered one article about red-white-and-blue apparel and another about holiday-themed make up. It will, however, be broadcasting naked celebrities in bed with Kanye West.

Sometimes you just have to bite the hand that feeds you. Open Society Foundations, the group backed by liberal billionaire George Soros, was ranked the least transparent think tank in the United States by a group it funds.
