In the wake of President Trump’s interview with The New York Times, where he hammered his Attorney General and pressed on the Russia investigation, MSNBC’s Chief Legal Correspondent Ari Melber demonstrated that NBC can’t get its story straight. “And with regard to [Special Counsel] Mueller … just to be clear, neither the new FBI director nor the president has any ability to remove the special counsel,” Melber told colleague Katy Tur during Thursday’s MTP Daily. But just over a month earlier, their colleagues were freaking out about just that.

Retired NFL quarterback Michael Vick continues to draw backlash for his comments Monday that it would be in Colin Kaepernick’s best interests to clip his hair and become more “presentable.” SB Nation writer Tyler Tynes posted one of the strongest disagreements yet by claiming that Vick is advocating for “respectability politics” and white oppression.

President Donald Trump was compared to another murderous world dictator on Thursday night as MSNBC’s Hardball host Chris Matthews suggested Trump is just like former Ugandan dictator Idi Amin and North Korea’s Kim Jong-un since Trump and Kim “love the parades” where they can serve as the star alongside military demonstrations.

In Thursday’s edition of liberal hypocrisy, long-time liberal news anchor and deceptive video editor Katie Couric bemoaned to the New York Daily News that fake news is currently “tearing” the U.S. “apart at the seams” with “quite educated” friends falling for fake stories while assigning no blame to the liberal media establishment she’s been a part of for decades.

As all the major news networks this week have highlighted the tragic case of Minnesota bride-to-be Justine Damond being shot to death by a police officer, far-left News One Now host Roland Martin -- who sometimes appears on MSNBC -- has conspicuously given no attention to the story even while continuing to update viewers on high-profile cases of blacks being killed by the police.

It wasn't all acting. The incredibly loud-mouthed, obnoxious character of Erlich Bachman on HBO's comedy hit, Silicon Valley, seems to be matched in these characteristics by the actor who portrayed him, T.J. Miller. Miller last made the news in a big way when he was arrested last December for hitting his Uber driver for the high crime of not sharing his Trump Derangement Syndrome.

When the big networks realized that President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin had a second discussion in Germany, they went nuts. The coverage made it seem like a dark and sinister deal was struck in a hidden alley. In reality, the president went over to talk to Putin at a G-20 dinner in front of every major world leader and enough media to make your head spin. Despite this fact, the media portrayed the "meeting," if you can call it that, as "secret" and "undisclosed."

USA Today on Thursday had what one might call a lightbulb moment. In a front page story, the paper claimed, “Right and left fed up with Trump clamor.” On the front page, writers Morgan Watkins and Todd Spangler looked at whether the priorities of journalists are misplaced: “It’s not just Republican supporters of Trump who are tiring of the jokes, innuendo and articles aimed at the president or the people around him and whether they colluded with Russia. Even some Democrats” feel the same way.

While the three broadcast networks have resumed coverage of British infant Charlie Gard, their coverage is lacking: only NBC has covered the recent efforts to grant Charlie and his parents permanent residency in the United States.

During an interview with fashion magazine Womens’s Wear Daily on Tuesday, MSNBC anchor Andrea Mitchell was asked: “Do you feel that you’ve ever gone too far where you’ve shown bias in your reporting?” The reliably liberal reporter struggled to recall any examples: “Everything is subjective to a certain extent. Let me think about that. I’m sure there have been times where I have – either through not enough reporting or through some sort of incipient opinion – let something creep in. I can’t think of it.”

Seemingly short on anti-Trump material Wednesday, the hosts on The View went after Trump’s daughter Ivanka for a recent social media post.“The first family knows how to make noise on social media, as we know” host Whoopi Goldberg scolded, before explaining what Ivanka did.

What’s more fitting: that Lena Dunham should be on a horror show, or that said show should become unwatchably political? Dunham is set to join the cast of American Horror Story’s seventh season, which , according to showrunner Ryan Murphy, takes place during the 2016 Presidential election.

CNN legal analyst Areva Martin had the audacity on Thursday to compare O.J. Simpson to U.S. Senator John McCain. In conversation with Brooke Baldwin while awaiting the decision on whether or not Simpson would receive parole, Martin commented on the testimony of Simpson’s daughter, stating, “[it] reminded me so much of what Senator McCain's daughter has said about her dad, that he's her rock, he's her friend, he's her confidante. So you heard this very compelling testimony from O.J. Simpson's daughter.”

Liberals love being depicted as modern saints. The members of the Daily Show cast are just another example of the snowflake daydreams surrounding feminist rights and Hillary Clinton. Bustle writer Martha Sorren did an interview with Desi Lydic and Michelle Wolf of the Daily Show on July 19, 2017.

In a fawning softball interview with Democratic Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren during Thursday’s 9 a.m. ET hour, MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle was thrilled that the left-wing lawmaker had issued President Trump a failing grade in a partisan “report card” marking his six months in the White House.
