Just reading the headline for this thread was like getting a blow to my stomach. It is hard for me to read it because even though it is a quote, it still is so blasphemous that I can't bear to have it in my brain even temporarily.

Jesus is my Lord and to hear or read someone say something like that makes me cringe.  She may think she's being bold and daring but as Ksimm81 said, it is going to come back to haunt her one day.

This should come as no surprise. Griffin is an avowed liberal who has on more than one occasion tossed Christianity under the bus for a "laugh." Real deep, funny comedian. Right.  

Her routine, like many of her peers, is predictable, relies on vulgarity and has often already been done in one form or another.

Ms. Griffin has embraced the decadent, the amoral, and the profane. Her shows celebrate her ego, narcissism, and shallowness of celebrity. She mocks religion, middle class values, and any tradition she can think of.  She embodies much of what's wrong with society and the media in one nasty package. I don't understand how she lives with herself and I really don't want to...

You know, my church has nearly 3,000 people in attendance every weekend. Our congregation is made up of probably every kind of person that God ever created. And you know what, that fact rarely crosses anyone's mind. We are all just Christians, God's imperfect children, born imperfectly, into a fallen world, filled with sin and sinners, of which I am the worst.

Our Church is a bastion of refuge. There are no clicks, racial divisions or financial separations. The Church Leadership is as diverse as the congregation. I want to believe that my church is not unique and that most of God's Holy Church is the same way, regardless of denominationalism. 

We try very hard to become more like Jesus Christ every day and we fail every day; but we keep on trying and sometimes we can see progress in others and even ourselves. This life is a dress rehearsal for eternity.

Jesus Christ was the most perfect, kind and loving being that ever walked the face of the earth and the author of all life and all things. And this ill-informed lady, speaks of our precious Lord, Jesus Christ in this way.

I should not feel this way but I am a flawed person. I want to be standing off to the side at the judgement. I want to here her explanation to Our Lord, as to what she meant by that comment. 

This so-called comedian has pretty much sealed her fate with a comment like that and I pity her when she stands in Judgement before the same Jesus that she so freely ridiculed and mocked, on that day I do not believe she will be so bold but instead will be begging for forgiveness and will be shaking with terror at the very thought of spending eternity in Hell, but to no avail, her pleas will be too late and will be ignored by the Lord. The only chance she has is now to ask for forgiveness and invite the Lord into her heart. I have to put aside my anger towards her and instead pray for her, I can only guess that satan has a powerful grasp on the woman and unless she repents, one day she get to know satan very intimately.

....from someone who would agree to emcee an "awards" show for gay/lesbian XXX-rated movies?

I wonder what her parents think of her career path.

Jesus came to seek and to save the lost. I think Griffin qualifies. He can save even her. I thought God did a pretty big job when He saved me. He can do the same with her. Pray for her, but "contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints."

Earlier today, well before I read this article, I was flipping through the channels on TV and Ellen DeGeneres was talking about and showing clips of Kathy Griffin.  DeGeneres was saying how Griffin was blacklisted from a variety of show, including her own "Ellen" show.  But today, Ellen was having Griffin back on the show.

Now I know precisely why.

I'd like to say a 'pox on both their houses', but that wouldn't be the Christian thing to do.

Killing them with kindness isn't working.  Time to get scrappy with the Donkeys.
