This is not surprising. So many public "educators" actually applaud and encourage mediocrity and failure. Obama is less than mediocre and he is failing. So prop him up -- that's logical, isn't it? Can someone say Venezuela, Cuba, China, etc. where children "sing" for their "leader".

BTW--This is also an indication of how bad our public schools have become. Maybe the time spent on practicing songs could be used for practicing reading, writing or math. Duh!

there is obvious danger here in the creation of a cult of personality but we should be careful in anyway undermining some real pride that many American blacks have in Obama.  

My trucking company has a courier division that specializes in servicing medical labs and health facilities in various inner city locales here in N J and NYC.  Since biz is bad I have been driving 5 days per week over the past 10 months and i have been noticing a real change in behavior especially by young black men and fathers.  I do think the great familyhood of the Obamas is starting penetrate into the inner city and these obliterated (by Democrat policies of course) families are starting to see the benefits of strong familyhood.  I see young black fathers treating their children with kindness and physical involvement ,..very different from the general standoffishness I use to observe in these neighborhoods .  I spent 10 years on the Board of Directors of a Father's Rights group from 1992 to 2002 or so and we never had any significant black father interest in our group.....something is happening in the black family because of the Obamas and it should be encouraged.

also...way back in the dark ages....across the sea in old Rhodesia in 1960 I remember going to a school assembly to observe my brother and his class reenacting the innaugauration of JFK and his wonderful address and doing the same with Churchill and fdr...some of these videos were justreenactments of oBAMAS INNAUGARATION ADDRESS....quite similiar to what I observed in 1960...BTW..JFKs speech was read to the acompaniedment of "Victoryat Sea "  KABOOM !!!!!!

I have been working in an after-school
program for a couple of months, and this is just endemic in public
schools. While I have not seen the students making any type of songs
or videos, I have noticed that there are pictures of the "first
family" in every room. These pictures are as prevalent as
crucifixes in a catholic school. Also, some of the teachers wear
Obama t-shirts. Does anyone think they did this with President Bush
or even Condi Rice or  Pres. Clinton for that matter. I am not
concerned because the of the color of Obama's skin, but because a
cult of personalty can be a downfall of democracy.

The leftist ideas are so stupid and obviously unworkable - when the leftist leaders dare to be honest about how they will operate once they seize power - that they fall apart once subjected to real scrutiny. Think of how the USSR murdered millions on general principles while jamming their unfettered propaganda down everyone's throats. We can defend ourselves against this crap.
