Just how degraded is the language we use in public discourse? Consider: an anchor on a major news network didn’t bat an eye Friday when a guest claimed it is a “civil rights issue” when a fraction of a percent of students don’t want to pee the way nature intended.

Donald Trump’s administration has been slammed with at least one “fake news” story a day for the last 33 days. That, according to a new list compiled by The Washington Examiner’s Paul Bedard. In Friday’s edition of his “Washington Secrets” column Bedard reported “President Trump’s claim that he’s been the subject of false and ‘fake news’ stories has been mocked by an eye-rolling media, but a Secrets analysis of Trump coverage reveals that Team Trump have been hit with an average of one false, distorted or denied story a day. Starting on the eve of Inauguration Day, there have been at least 33 often widely reported false stories about the president and his team.”

If your daughter is uncomfortable with seeing male genitals while undressing in the school locker room, that’s the fault of her ‘intolerant’ parents, said CNN anchor Chris Cuomo Thursday. After President Trump reversed an Obama order Wednesday, that forced schools to allow transgender students to use whatever bathroom and locker room they wished, the media went nuts, decrying the reversal as “cruel” discrimination. New Day anchor Chris Cuomo went on a Twitter tirade Thursday, arguing with conservatives over the bathroom order, even blaming parents for being “intolerant” because they want their daughters to change in female-only locker rooms at school.

Men are big, mean Neanderthals who degrade women and won’t even let them stand up and talk. First came the U.S. Senate President Neanderthal Mitch McConnell. And now Jameis Winston, quarterback of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, is the latest Neanderthal to be outed by the left-stream media.

In June, the City of Philadelphia, in what was hailed as a "historic moment for public health," passed a deliberately misnamed 1.5-cent per ounce "soda tax." What anyone with a lick of sense could have predicted would happen is happening, and the national press is mostly ignoring the tragic results.

White House Political Adviser Steve Bannon appeared at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Thursday where he discussed the importance of American culture, among other things. But that didn’t sit well with some of CNN’s political analysts; particularly with David Gregory, who condemned Bannon on Anderson Cooper 360 claiming that “The language of the uniqueness of American culture is this kind of white nationalist language to me that harkens back to the kind of language we've heard before.”

With all the social issues plaguing our newsfeeds, abortion remains at the forefront. For the second time this season, NBC’s Superstore tackles the subject. On Thursday’s episode, “Wellness Fair,” a false rumor is spread around the staff that fellow store employee Sandra is pregnant and is debating getting an abortion.

After White House chief strategist Steve Bannon and chief of staff Reince Priebus offered strongly-worded statements on Thursday afternoon at CPAC condemning the media as “the opposition party” to the Trump team, Vice President Mike Pence offered an evening address to a boisterous audience. Of course, he lobbed some jabs at the media of his own.

President Donald Trump sent ABC and CBS off the rails Thursday when he made public statements about the efficiency of this deportation operations. Trump described the program as running like a “military operation,” which any normal person would understand was a figure of speech. But to ABC anchor David Muir it gave him license to fly off the handle and falsely claim, during the opening tease of World News Tonight, “Tonight, President Trump calls it ‘a military operation on the border.’ The immigration crackdown.”

On Thursday's CNN Newsroom, host Poppy Harlow repeatedly showed skepticism that there have been cases of men or boys taking advantage of transgender bathroom or changing room rules to commit sex crimes as she focused on liberal hysteria over the Trump administration canceling Obama administration rules mandating transgender students be allowed to use the bathroom of their choice. CNN political commentator David Swerdlick -- also of the Washington Post -- at one point even suggested that sexual assault victims and survivors should be expected to compromise with transgenders who want to be able to use women's bathrooms.

On Tuesday morning's MSNBC Live, Louise Mensch, though she claims to be a conservative, put forth what I suspect will be the left's core economic argument if the economy improves under Donald Trump. That argument: The economy is "fantastic" already, and Trump will have had nothing to do with whatever economic improvements over what is already "fantastic" we might see.

MSNBC’s Hardball host Chris Matthews compared White House chief strategist Steve Bannon on Thursday to Star Wars villain Darth Vader, even though “he’s a good speaker” albeit “a little strong but, you know, that’s part of the deal he’s got.”

On Sunday, NBC News has resorted to using children in videos to deliver statements criticizing to President Trump just one month into his presidency. Opening with a young boy eager about an outsider coming to Washington to bring people together, the series, “Dear Mr. President: Letters from the American Children,” then begins throwing cheap shots by using kids.

In a promo she does for the MSNBC channel on SiriusXM, Rachel Maddow claims she delivers the news "without fear or favor" -- but she sure provides useful cover to guests if they share her liberal politics. Such was the case Tuesday night when one of Maddow's guests was former CIA analyst Edward Price, who just quit the agency in a highly public way, accompanied by an op-ed in the Washington Post that laid out the alleged rationale for his departure.

Thursday afternoon, Morton County, North Dakota officials announced, roughly 24 hours after yesterday's 2. p.m. Central Time deadline, that "the main Dakota Access Pipeline protest camp is now officially closed." Outside of the major broacast networks, press coverage of the camp's imminent and now final closure has been and I suspect will continue to be light, as the holdouts' conduct has been injurious and disgraceful. In the final days, "protesters" who claim to be environmentalists exposed themselves as nothing more than pretentious, ruthless arsonists.
