You know you’re about to read a truly amazing article when it references “black Jesus” and “the plantation,” by the first paragraph.

During a live interview on Wednesday with Republican vice presidential nominee and Indiana Governor Mike Pence on CNN's New Day, host Alisyn Camerota recalled that Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto once hyperbolically likened Donald Trump's anti-Mexico rhetoric to that of Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler, before she then essentially asked if the GOP presidential nominee would apologize to the Mexican president for provoking the negative reaction.
The CNN host did not wonder if Trump himself should receive an apology for being the subject of the over the top Nazi comparison. Addressing Governor Pence, Camerota posed: "President Pena Nieto has likened some of Donald Trump's rhetoric about Mexicans to Hitler and Mussolini. Do you expect that Mr. Trump will apologize to Mexico's president for some of the language that he's used?"

During the early years of the Iraq war, the so-called Pottery Barn rule -- “you break it, you buy it” -- became a common expression inside the Beltway. Talking Points Memo’s Josh Marshall suggested on Monday that something like the Pottery Barn rule describes what’s happened to the Republican party: conservative media wrecked it and now, along with Donald Trump, control what’s left of it. “The rightwing media echo-chamber created a framework in which you are immediately discredited if you do not subscribe to a series of demonstrably false claims, non-facts and theories…all leaving the party ungovernable and vulnerable to a takeover by someone like Donald Trump,” declared Marshall.

In a major story broke by the New York Post Wednesday, it came to light that Hillary Clinton had sent an e-mail from her private server containing classified material months after she left office. According to the Post the message contained information about the “123 Deal” with the United Arab Emirates but, “was heavily redacted upon its release by the State Department because it contains classified information.” And as would be expected, the ABC, CBS, and NBC took a pass on the shocking new development during their evening news programs.

The current episode of Chelsea is titled “It Felt Like Racist WrestleMania” and that is exactly how her guest Hasan Minhaj described attending the Republican National Convention. He went in "white face" make-up as his alter-ego “Chad Smith” just for grins – and because all Republicans are scary racists in his fragile little liberal world. Can you imagine a Republican pulling such a stunt and the outrage that would follow?

“Peña Nieto was not ready for Trump,” tweeted Univision anchor Jorge Ramos in the wake of the Republican presidential candidate’s surprise visit with Mexican President Enrique Peña-Nieto.

Amidst all the news coverage about Donald Trump’s trip to Mexico on Wednesday, there was one other major story in Latin America as Brazil removed its corrupt and far-left President for questionable behavior with the country’s finances. Of course, it nearly saw nary a mention on the broadcast network evening newscasts as ABC and CBS were out to lunch on Dilma Rousseff’s impeachment.

The Washington Post’s desperate spin on the collapse of the Weiner-Abedin marriage is even more desperate than the last time Weiner was caught sexting. Chris “There Is No Pro-Hillary Bias” Cillizza wrote a petulant article headlined “Anthony Weiner is gross. Let’s stop paying attention to him.” And which candidate does that help, hmm?
Earth to Chris: You were ignoring him. For months on end. Until he was exposed for exposing himself again, and the Wife dumped him. That's one of many examples of a pro-Hillary bias in the media elite.

As he’s been known to do from time-to-time, Fox News Channel (FNC) anchor Shepard Smith flashed his liberal tilt on Wednesday afternoon in reading a simple news brief about the Supreme Court putting a stay on North Carolina’s voter I.D. law by lamenting that, in his book, such laws are intended to discourage minorities from voting. The 33-second news brief started off fairly innocent with Smith explaining that “we’ve just gotten an AP news alert out of the State of North Carolina” before reading the headline from the Associated Press.

Sometimes it seems that people who write editorials or columns for the mainstream media really have to struggle to come up with new and interesting topics to discuss. That seems to be the case with Frank Bruni, a New York Times columnist whose latest missive is entitled “Donald Trump's Irredeemable Twin.”
It may be hard to believe, but Bruni actually attempted to compare the Republican presidential candidate to Democrat Anthony Weiner, a former member of the U.S. House of Representatives whose three scandals have involved “sexting” or sending explicit sexual material by cell phone.

Univision/Fusion anchor Jorge Ramos is in the middle of another valedictory establishment media tour, promoting his most recent Time column as if it were a newly-released book and defending himself against charges of bias. His latest "tour stop" was last night, with CNN's Anderson Cooper- and the time has come to hold Ramos to the lofty moral standard that he seeks to impose on his fellow journalists.

Tuesday's PBS NewsHour stood out for their six-minute-long segment on the Associated Press's revelation of at least 72 mass graves in former or current ISIS territory in Syria and Iraq. Gwen Ifill interviewed correspondent Lori Hinnant, one of the author's of the early Tuesday report that detailed the genocidal terrorist group's blood lust. ABC, CBS, and NBC's Tuesday evening newscasts, along with their Wednesday morning shows, all covered the death of a top ISIS leader, but failed to include one mention of the press agency's reporting on the mass graves.

On her MSNBC show on Tuesday, anchor Andrea Mitchell teed up The Atlantic's senior political columnist Ron Fournier to promote his latest op/ed declaring Donald Trump “unfit” to be president compared to the “very experienced” Hillary Clinton: “...you've got a provocative column up today....you said there is ‘no equivalency’ between Clinton and Trump. That, ‘Hillary has her problems, but Donald Trump is unfit for the presidency.’”

You didn't need to have the sound working while viewing MSNBC's Morning Joe today to know things were not going well for Hillary Clinton. The sad looks on the faces of hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough pretty much revealed the story. A sense of gloom had descended upon the set of Morning Joe as Mika led off detailing the latest drip, drip, dripping of Hillary scandals. Then Joe joined added to the mournful mood by noting how the polls have been tightening in recent days. This was all in stark contrast to the upbeat mood of just a few weeks ago when Hillary was so far ahead in the polls that they were practically declaring Donald Trump's political funeral.
