Fox's 'Minority Report' Predicts Redskin Name Change in 2019; Says Outsourcing Leads to Crime

Okay, Fox's Minority Report is clearly on a quest to force the Redskins to change their name. As we’ve written earlier, in its inaugural episode Minority Report not only showed us a history with no Redskins, but they even went so far as to offer a new name, the “Red Clouds,” which just happens to be the name of a war chief who waged one of the bloodiest campaign against the U.S. Army in the history of the old West.

But in Fox’s Monday night’s episode, a show titled “The Present,” the show predicted a date in which the 'Skins will become the Clouds. While trying to understand a vision that a “pre-cog” sees, Detective Vega (Meagan Good) recognizes something peculiar about a certain football jersey in the image:

Vega: Okay, so it looks like the murder happens indoors. I can't tell if it's day or night.

Dash: Two gunshots.

Vega: Messy, not calculated. This happens in the moment. No faces, no identifiable markings. Hold it.

Dash: What is it?

Vega: It's a 2019 Red Clouds Jersey. It's the year that they changed their name. It's almost impossible to get. Believe me, I've tried.

So, although Redskins owner Daniel Snyder has said the team will never change the name, Minority Report is calling his bluff and saying it is less than 5 years away.

Call your bookies.

But that’s not all. While visiting what is essentially a giant, futuristic telemarketing/customer support hub, a company tour guide gives a brief history of outsourcing and the effect it had on crime:

60 years ago, companies outsourced all this stuff abroad. Killed the working class, causing incarceration rates to skyrocket. Now, we give the working class their jobs back, only this time, behind bars, for two cents on the dollar.

Hmm. So people’s jobs got outsourced and crime went through the roof, huh? Here’s a list of jobs most likely to be outsourced in America today:

Computer programmers / software engineers

Accountants / auditors

Lawyers

Insurance sales agents

Real estate brokers / agents

Chemists / physicists

A lot of manufacturing jobs get outsourced as well. But of course that’s been going on for years, and crime has been on the decline.

But, if the future of crime is a future with guys in lab coats and protractors trying to steal my wallet, I’m good with that. I might even quit carrying my gun.
