Soldier's Daughter Brings 'American Idol' Judges to Tears with THIS Powerful Surprise

It is the 15th and final season of Fox's reality singing competition show American Idol and they saved the best audition moment of the night for last. You will definitely want to watch this - and have the tissues handy!

Tristan McIntosh, 15, from Nashville, Tenn. showed up to the Idol auditions in Little Rock, Ark. with a heavy heart because her mom couldn't be there with her because she was serving in the Middle East. After Tristan performed a powerful rendition of the song "Why Baby Why" by Mickey Guyton, judge Harry Connick, Jr. read a supportive email from Army Maj. Amy McIntosh to her daughter, which set off the waterworks for judge Keith Urban. Seconds later, Tristan's mom came around the corner to surprise her daughter, causing judge Jennifer Lopez to tear up, too. In the end, even I was a bit misty-eyed.
