Fox News host Geraldo Rivera made another outrageous statement regarding gun control, and his distaste for those who choose to exercise their right for the Second Amendment.

On Friday’s Fox & Friends show, Geraldo was asked to comment on a recent story out of Pasadena, Texas about a mother who was “charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.”

Mike Rowe, show host of CNN’s Somebody’s Gotta Do It, is known for his own hard work and appreciating hard work. That’s why it shouldn’t come as a surprise that he praised one of the hardest working groups (and often the most overlooked) groups around– the Navy Seabees.

Do you know about the Navy Seabees?  If not, no worries.  Their work is rarely on the front pages of magazines (unless it’s their own - Seabee Magazine), and it’s one of the many reasons Mike Rowe is trying to get the word out about them.

Former CNN anchor Piers Morgan recently appeared on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, and when the topic of Hillary Clinton as a presidential candidate, he told host Joe Scarborough that she’s “no spring chicken.”

“Hillary Clinton is slightly Ghost of Christmas Past to many people. She didn’t beat Barack Obama. She’s no spring chicken, and I say that in the nicest possible way. And if I were the Democrats, I’d be thinking, ‘we’ve got to be very careful here, that we don’t put all our eggs into the Hillary Clinton basket and we end up with somebody who could actually lose.’"

National Review’s John Fund wrote an opinion piece Sunday about the way the media have gone after Rudy Giuliani’s recent comments questioning Obama’s love for America, and that the same standard of “gotcha” questions should also be held to the same standards for liberals as they are with conservatives.

Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar are all basketball legends in their own right, but it’s not what they’ve done on the court that’s earning them headlines these days, it’s what they’ve said off the courts that’s getting all the attention.

Barkley told Sports Ilustrated  said if he could meet anyone today, it would be Jordan’s King Abdullah II because of his response to ISIS burning alive the captured Jordanian pilot, Muath Al-Kaseasbeh on video.  He said he wished Obama was like that:

In recognition of Black History Month, Planned Parenthood is honoring 99 “extraordinary Black leaders” as the Top 99 Dream Keepers (99 being the number of years since the abortion conglomerate’s inception) because “they inspire us to break down barriers to opportunity posed by poverty, racism, and sexism.”   This year, the "distinguished" list included Melissa Harris-Perry and Joy Reid, both hosts on MSNBC, for their contributions in abortion storytelling.

Melissa Harris-Perry, host of her own eponymous weekend show on MSNBC, seems an obvious choice given her radical views on abortion.  After all, she once called a fertilized egg “this thing” in relation to “it” becoming a person, wore tampons as earrings on her show as a statement against the banning of late-term abortions, stated that “life begins when the parents feel like life begins,” and  recently compared an unborn baby to a cancerous tumor, or a limb that needed amputation.

Ryan Holiday is an editor-at-large at the New York Observer, and author of Trust Me I’m Lying: Confessions of a Media Manipulator.  The title of his book alone is reason enough to make people scratch their heads, but what really makes people go “huh?” is what he said about defending the disgraced and recently suspended NBC Nightly News host, Brian Williams.

Holiday’s piece titled The Hypocritical Degradation of Brian Williams claims that everyone is tearing down Williams not because of ethics, but because of “jealousy, catharsis and the rage of the creative underclass.”  Hmm.

Sharyl Attkisson knows a thing or two about media bias.  After all, it was Attkisson who blew the lid off CBS's blatant bias favoring the president and his administration in her recent book Stonewalled: My Fight for Truth Against the Forces of Obstruction, Intimidation, and Harassment in Obama's Washington.

On Monday, Attkisson appeared  on The Steve Malzberg Show on Newsmax TV, and told him she couldn’t understand how Hillary Clinton, a former secretary of state and presidential candidate, could withstand such a scandal, while NBC News anchor Brian Williams may not. Attkisson was a reporter acommpanying Hillary Clinton in Bosnia, and realized Hillary’s lie after NewsBusters unearthed the video.

Melissa Harris-Perry always has something shocking to say (or wear – who could forget the time she wore tampon earrings on her show to protest the banning of late-term abortions?). Just recently, she compared an unborn baby (or “fetus” as the term they prefer to use) to a cancerous tumor, or a limb that needed amputation.

Remember the good ole days when people got famous for nothing but a sex tape? Well, now there are people who have become famous for eating Froot Loops while soaking in a bathtub of milk, or for creating a video called “14 Fart Facts For My Flatulent Friends.” These were exactly the kind of people the White House Administration sought in a recent interview with President Obama.

Hank Green, he of the “14 Fart Facts” fame, felt the need to come out and defend their opportunity of being the chosen ones to have interviewed Obama – it’s because, as he stated, “We are ourselves.”

Here's a follow-up from a blog we posted about two weeks ago on the Santa Barbara News-Press, and its use of the term “illegal” when describing illegal immigrants.

On his HBO show Real Time with Bill Maher on Friday night, the host addressed the students who protested his invitation to give a  University of California commencement address in December: "You have to tell me, where do I go to protest you?"

Maher also went on to say that he’s bothered by the “extreme bullying” techniques used to define free speech so speech doesn’t offend them (how is it free speech then?).He said he was far more troubled by liberals who cannot tolerate speech that challenges their ideas, and referenced groups that want conservative talk show hosts, such as Rush Limbaugh, off the air.

Jesse Watters – the Fox News correspondent whose segment "Watters’ World" is featured on Bill O’Reilly’s O’Reilly Factor -- revealed Monday night that despite having a ticket and appropriate press credentials to enter the “Defend the Prophet” conference in Garland, Texas this past weekend, he was immediately “revoked” by members of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) once he landed in Dallas.

Though other journalists were allowed to enter ONLY the first 20 minutes of the conference, held at the Curtis Culwell Center, Watters was told by organizers (after hours of standing outside the conference center), that they “specifically barred” The O’Reilly Factor from coming inside.

Via Billy Hallowell of The Blaze, we saw a recent Deadspin blog, “ESPN’s Dave Pasch Outs Self As Creationist After Receiving Darwin Book.” The sports blog of the sleazy liberal  Gawker Media Group seemed to take issue with the fact that ESPN sportscaster Dave Pasch dismissed Charles Darwin’s book The Origin of Species, given to him by fellow ESPN broadcaster Bill Walton.

There’s been a lot of talk in the news about black on black crime – mainly gang related, but the biggest repeat offender that is hurting the black community isn’t gang related, and it’s not heart disease, AIDS, cancer, homicide or diabetes either. That’s why the following article appearing on Ebony.com under the “Wellness & Empowerment” section is not only disturbing, but also misleading in many ways.

The Santa Barbara News-Press building has been vandalized due to criticism it received over a recent headline using the word “illegals” which, incidentally, described immigrants who entered and are living in the United States illegally.

It all started on Saturday, January 3, 2015, when The Santa Barbara News-Press wrote a front-page article titled “Illegals line up for driver’s licenses.”

While The New York Post devoted its December 27 cover to the point that the police turned their backs as Mayor Bill de Blasio spoke ("TO SERVE & REJECT"), The New York Times employed the sappier headline “De Blasio Delivers Quiet Eulogy to Crowd of Unfriendly Faces, and Many Backs.”

Eric Bolling, co-host of The Five on Fox, was a fill-in host for the O’Reilly Factor this past Tuesday and went off on a guest who ridiculously claimed that Fox News was actually perpetuating racism in America.

Jasymne Cannick is a self-proclaimed “social commentator" from Los Angeles. Bolling asked "So Jasmyne, is America a racist country?" She said "You bet it is." Then she said Fox News adds to it.

The Huffington Post keeps chipping away at its less than favorable credibility. Just a few days ago, they claimed to have been in contact with a source that said he was the “best friend” of an 18 year old black man who was shot by police in a St. Louis suburb – drawing some to compare the recent police shooting to that of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri. It turns out their "friend" turned out to be a fraud, who duped the website through Twitter messages.

Here’s a question: how can you tell when you are reading “news” from the Huffington Post?  Answer:  When both views on a highly controversial topic are NOT given…meaning, only the liberal view.

Case in point: An article the Huffington Post wrote on Monday about the Federal appeals court declaring a North Carolina law requiring abortion providers to show a woman the ultrasound and describing the images in detail before going through an abortion as unconstitutional.
