It didn’t take long for political pundit Charles Krauthammer to object on Fox News to President Obama’s very subdued and vague response on the shooting that claimed four Marines in Chattanooga.

"When you say 'lone gunman,' what you're doing, subtly or unsubtly, is disconnecting the dots."

This past Friday, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump addressed a conservative Hollywood group known as Friends of Abe (FOA). Speaking at the Luxe Sunset Blvd. Hotel in Los Angeles, Trump discussed everything from NBC, his distaste for political pundits, and being dumped from ESPN, Macy’s and Miss America.

Trump blasted “stupid reporters” who continually ask if he’s “got the personality to run for president” (do they ask that of Hillary Clinton?), at the same time criticizing them for covering him too much.  He said, “Anderson Cooper called wanting another interview because his ratings went up…Every show is 100 percent me…”

MTV used to be known for its 24 hours of constant music videos before becoming overrun with trashy shows like 16 and Pregnant, Jersey Shore, Teen Mom and Jackass.  Now MTV is trying to get “serious” with a documentary called White People that follows five young white people around, documenting their experience as being a white person in America and “white privilege.”

Jose Antonio Vargas hosts the documentary.  Vargas won a Pulitzer Prize for his coverage of the Virginia Tech shootings, and has worked for The Washington Post and The Huffington Post.  Vargas is also an illegal immigrant.

Al Jazeera’s digital media platform AJ+ decided to mock Americans by posting a video just one day before Independence Day.  The video, facetiously titled “American’s Show Why USA Is The #1 Country In The World”, portrayed Americans as bigoted hicks that do nothing but pop pills, eat cheese and watch porn.

AJ+ did talk about the “good” things in the U.S. – such as America being the world leader in Olympic medals, Nobel laureates and billionaires, and actors. After noting the aforementioned, they went on to include other things America was “#1” in; the most incarcerated people in the world, the most obese, the most pill-poppers, the most guns, drones, racism, teen pregnancies and credit card debt.

Russell Brand – the controversial comedian and self-proclaimed “revolutionary” says he would go to Syria, but only if he could fly first class.

In his latest YouTube lecture, Brand blamed Seifeddine Rezgui’s mass killing of 38 innocent people in Tunisia on the British government and called prime minister David Cameron's call for a minute of silence an “empty, futile gesture, a general policy of bull----.” He believed the attack should be blamed on Britain selling arms abroad, perpetuating war for profit.

Talk about the irony – a Latina actress named America blasting presidential candidate Donald Trump on recent comments he made describing illegal immigrants.

America Ferrera is best known for her television role on “Ugly Betty” and has been an outspoken supporter for Democrats and immigration issues. In an an open letter to Trump on The Huffington Post, Ferrera actually thanking him for his comments because it would be a catalyst for driving more Latin/Hispanic voters to the polls:

Peter Moskowitz is a New York City-based reporter who recently wrote an op-ed in the Washington Post. Moskowitz is gay and he has a problem with all of you who slapped a rainbow on your cute little Facebook profile picture.  He says that slapping a rainbow on your profile picture is not activism, rather “slacktivism”. Ouch!

Why? Because You don’t understand his struggle. You cheapened the struggle with this rainbow on your little Facebook profile photo. That's a sore winner.

Mike Rowe is the host of CNN’s Somebody’s Gotta Do It – a show about the unique jobs that someone has to do.  Maybe CNN should do a spin-off show called Someone’s Gotta Educate Them keeping Rowe as its host.

On his Facebook page, Rowe took on the hate-or-heritage debate on the Confederate flag after the Charleston shooting. Flags don't kill people, so let's not assign them magical powers.

Megyn Kelly is quickly becoming the new face the Fox News Channel.  Host of her own primetime show, The Kelly File, Kelly has been a big draw in the 9PM hour over all other cable news channels.  Only fellow Fox News star Bill O’Reilly leads Kelly.

Recently Variety interviewed Megyn Kelly and her rise to stardom for the cover of the magazine, proclaiming "I'm an independent." She proclaimed she could be fair to Hillary Clinton, that the candidate "could handle me -- easily."

Breitbart’s John Nolte had the opportunity to interview CNN’s Jake Tapper on his new show State of the Union, as well as get Tapper’s opinion on the issues of today including “Caitlyn Jenner”, same sex marriage, The Clinton Foundation, media bias, and conservative media critics.

When it came to the topic of “Caitlyn Jenner” and how the media will handle the story with Republican candidates, Tapper promised he won't  be setting traps for politicians of either party, and "I also believe that tough abortion questions should be asked of Democrats as well as Republicans."

Michelle Obama has been on the covers of countless women’s magazines during her tenure as First Lady.  Now, in addition to being on the cover of More magazine, she also guest-edited its latest edition, set to hit newsstands on June 23.

“The idea of having Mrs. Obama serve as the first guest editor of More seemed like a crazy idea, but it was at the top of the list for me,” said the magazine’s editor in chief, Lesley Jane Seymour. "I call her my Inspirer-in-Chief."

Rachel Dolezal pretended to be black for years as president of the Spokane NAACP. She's now become the "Caitlyn" Jenner of a "trans-black" discussion. People may want to identify as black when they are not.

Always one for a controversial discussion about race in America, MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry decided to jump in on the “trans-black” bandwagon, wondering out loud on her Saturday show:

I am almost certain there are people in this country who want to ensure an entitlement generation.  I find Lee Siegel to be one of these people.

Last weekend, Siegel wrote an op-ed in the New York Times titled “Why I Defaulted on My Student Loans.” In the piece, he whined about the debt he owed and made excuses for why he couldn’t or WOULDN’T pay off his student loan.

The Associated Press on Tuesday appeared sympathetic to abortion advocates, publishing a story -- accessible here via Statesman.com -- on how the decision made by the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals could (soon) leave only seven abortion clinics “in a state of 27 million people.”

On the Dan Patrick radio show, NBC sportscaster Bob Costas said "I wish Caitlyn Jenner well" in finding a comfortable identity, but said “Awarding the Arthur Ashe award to Caitlyn Jenner is just a crass exploitation play… It’s a tabloid play."

A Pew Research Center report released in December 2014 found that 52 % of Americans believe defending gun rights is more important than controlling gun ownership. The Chicago Tribune would like you to think that 52 percent believe in an ‘illusion.’

On June 5, Tribune columnist David McGrath composed a piece titled, “NRA version of 2nd Amendment lacks common sense,” in an attempt to dissect the Second Amendment as it is written.

She’s funny, but she’s way raunchy.  Comedian Amy Schumer spared nothing during her acceptance speech at the 2015 Glamour U.K. Women of the Year ceremony.

It only took her 48 seconds into her speech to drop the following bomb: "I'm probably, like, 160 pounds right now and I can catch a d**k whenever I want."

At a Hollywood conference on women in film, actress and producer Reese Witherspoon was asked if she would ever consider playing Hilary Clinton and said, ““I’ve actually been asked to play Hillary Clinton a couple of times…But didn’t I play her already? When I did meet Hillary Clinton, she said, ‘Everybody talks to me about Tracy Flick in Election all the time.'”

On his ESPN 2 show, Keith Olbermann decided to mix politics and sports when he named Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz as his “Worst Person in the Sports World.”  This alone makes no sense, as Cruz has nothing to do with the “sports world,” but it’s Keith Olbermann – nothing really makes sense when it comes to him.

Olbermann decided to take issue with a harmless joke Cruz told when visiting Rep. Jim Lyons in Massachusetts this past weekend.  Cruz opened the conversation by saying, “Tom Brady was framed and I have it on good authority that Hillary Clinton did it….Why do you think she deleted her emails?”

In what could best be described as a “love/hate” relationship with Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, a group of journalists met at the Los Angeles Times/Tribune offices in Washington on Monday to complain among themselves about limited access to Clinton and her campaign.

Michael Calderone at The Huffington Post says they accuse Hillary’s camp of “keeping an excessively tight grip on information, even when it comes to logistical details that don't seem particularly sensitive or revelatory.”
