Objective journalism is so old-fashioned. Activism is the new objectivity, at least where the liberal media are concerned.

Rather than reporting as neutral outsiders on matters of race, CNN hosts and guest actually put their hands up in the “Hands up, don’t shoot” pose that never happened while reporting on protests. They seize on mass shootings to repeat calls for stricter gun control.

The sad fact is that many journalists and news publications don’t report on climate change, health care, wages and other economic issues; they promote a liberal agenda with their so-called news. Here are the top 10 ways the media acted as anti-business or anti-capitalism activists in the past year.


In recent weeks, thousands of negotiators from 196 governments met in Paris “for a major conference on climate change” attempting to reach an agreement for every country to lower its greenhouse gas emissions: emissions climate alarmists say will cause catastrophic climate change.

That conference, dubbed COP21, began on Nov. 30, and wrapped up with the announcement of a non-binding agreement on Dec. 12. The broadcast networks covered the conference at the beginning and the end. Initially, they hyped President Barack Obama’s participation and the resilience of the city of Paris in the wake of devastating terrorist attacks, and concluded by praising the results as “historic” “monumental” and a “turning point” on climate.

CBS also took the opportunity to advance pre-summit hype by showing back to back to back segments about climate crisis. Those stories including a New York Times poll of Americans that favored protecting the climate more than growing the economy, the problem of air pollution in China, and college-aged kids moving to the Arctic to study greenhouse gases.


Biofuels should serve as an instructive lesson for negotiators in Paris, because they are proof that not all energy sources work as well as anticipated. But journalists are unlikely to remind them or the public.

The early 2000s were the heyday of good press for biofuels. Major newspapers like The New York Times ran stories about Willie Nelson’s biodiesel startup and individuals converting their vehicles into “veggie” cars to run on french fry grease and other forms of biodiesels. The Washington Post even editorialized about people “dreaming big” plans like replacing hydrocarbon fuels (gasoline) with biodiesels.


One-sided and overwhelmingly biased coverage of climate change wasn’t enough for the news industry publication Columbia Journalism Review.

On Dec. 1, CJR contributing editor Cristine Russell actually claimed “climate change has often languished in news coverage ...”


The matter of renewable “energy” sources is certain to be part of Paris summit negotiations, since they are an essential part of the goal of lowering carbon emissions. Ahead of the Paris meeting, one British Labor Party politician argued for a “zero” emissions target, rather than already discussed severe 80-percent cuts.

However, the proponents of such cuts rarely acknowledge they are an unrealistic, maybe even impossible goal. And the liberal news media refuse to expose the truth. In contrast to the news coverage of fossil fuels and nuclear power, reporting on  “renewable” sources like wind and solar power is often positive.


The climate conference in Paris hadn’t even begun, before climate alarmists were warning a far more stringent emissions agreement was necessary.

British Labor Party politician Ed Milliband wrote for The Guardian on Nov. 22, that the Paris summit “can save the planet,” but not with the emissions pledges that are expected. Heralding the falling costs of solar and wind, Milliband claimed zero emissions are necessary and could be done “without closing down our economy.”


Certain types of energy are certain targets for the 190 governments’ representatives gathering in Paris this week  and from green activists surrounding the melee.

The goal of the U.N. climate conference in Paris, known as COP21, is to get an international agreement on reducing carbon emissions, out of fear that climate change is a global threat. But the agenda of some developing nations to make rich nations like the U.S. pay them billions of dollars to fund a transition to “clean energy” reveals one reason clean energy goals aren’t realistic.


ExxonMobil is one of the big oil companies the liberal news media love to hate, even though the company now says climate change is a threat and promotes carbon taxation. Even that’s not enough.

That negative view of ExxonMobil explains why recent news coverage of an investigation against the company was so thoroughly one-sided.


Environmental activists are organizing the “largest Disobedient Action Adventure Game” for “climate justice” later this month. The global online and offline disruptions are timed as world leaders gather in Paris Nov. 30-Dec. 12 (dubbed COP21) to try to generate a climate change agreement.

Specific actions are deliberately mysterious, but activists were encouraged to form teams and embrace tactics from a group called Beautiful Trouble. That list included a wide variety of actions including hoaxes, infiltration, blockades, occupations, mass street action, “media-jacking” and “creative disruption.” The site listed potential targets as: “fossil fuel lobbyists’ hotels, corporate events promoting non-existent solutions, and toxic greenwash advertising.”


Hollywood has portrayed angels many different ways. Often the depictions have been almost heavenly: Clarence in It’s a Wonderful Life, Jonathan Smith on Highway to Heaven and the angels of Touched by an Angel.

Others, like John Travolta’s Michael, upset people of faith.

But the brand new show Angel from Hell offers a disgusting depiction of a guardian angel (or crazy woman claiming to be an angel) played by Jane Lynch. Lynch is a prominent liberal and lesbian activist in Hollywood, known for attacking conservatives on and offscreen.


Bill Mann, freelance "humor" writer, who has been published by USA Today and the Huffington Post, got nasty with multiple Republican candidates for president during the Oct. 28, CNBC debate. Mann also describes himself as a media critic, but during the debate it wasn’t the media he was slamming, it was the candidates.


After an international agency made an announcement about risk of eating processed meats, many media outlets went hog wild. That included the broadcast networks which hyped the “troubling new warning” and ordered people to “cut down on that red meat.”

ABC and NBC evening news programming hyped the “unprecedented “warning,” and the decision to put them in the “same category” of carcinogens as smoking and asbestos, even though both of those are far more dangerous. The following day, NBC simultaneously told people not to “panic,” but urged them to “drastically” cut meat consumption.


Mandates are a predictable liberal solution for problems both real and percieved. The Huffington Post proved it again when it argued for a federal mandate for paid sick leave, claiming a new study offered a “compelling” reason for the law.

The attention grabbing headline from Oct. 21, claimed, “Flu Rate Would Decline Significantly If the U.S. Mandated Paid Sick Leave.”

The numbers beg to differ. “Significantly.”


Ludicrous and offensive content remains ludicrous and offensive, even when it’s set to music.

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend on the CW network is meant to be a comedic, musical tale of female obsession with a former flame. Left-wing Slate.com said the show that made a joke about teen abortions and included a gross-out nether regions waxing was “charming,” and “very funny.” The Los Angeles Times called it “intoxicating” and “daffy.”


It was obvious from the start of ABC’s new drama, Blood & Oil, that Hap Briggs (the “Baron of the Bakken”) would turn out to be ruthless and conniving, no matter how charming he might seem. After all, he’s an oil man and the media just love (to hate) them.

In prior episodes Briggs appeared to admire Billy LeFever’s tenacity and mind for the oil business. He even seemed to have taken Billy “under his wing,” but the latest episode proved much of that may have been an act. Or that Briggs is willing to backstab even the people he likes and even a man who saved his life.


Hurricane Joaquin hasn’t hit ground in the U.S. yet, and might not, but already a climate alarmist public relations shop is pushing “Journalists” to blame climate change for the storm’s strength.

Late in the afternoon, Oct. 1, Climate Nexus sent out a press release to the media claiming the storm was gaining strength “over [a] record-hot ocean.” That’s how the group promoted its “hurricane backgrounder,” designed to link the storm to global warming.


Conservative filmmaker Phelim McAleer has a new film challenging Josh Fox and his claims about hydraulic fracturing. McAleer’s GasHoax will be released on October 1, the same day as Fox’s latest short film, GasWork, will be aired on MSNBC.

The head-to-head match up is intentional. McAleer said GasWork is “a zero credibility film because it comes from filmmaker Josh Fox who has a history of health hoaxes regarding fracking.” He has criticized Fox for his past claims about flammable water and breast cancer links, calling them “nonsense.”


As radical Muslims wage jihad around the world and plot against Western nations including the U.S., ABC’s new show Quantico will try to unravel the mystery of an FBI “inside job” terrorist attack against New York’s Grand Central Station.

As it flashes back and forth from the start of FBI training to the aftermath of “the most devastating terrorist attack on American soil since 9/11.” The audience is introduced to a number of FBI recruits including main character Alex Parrish, played by Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra.


Entertainment is full of plotlines that make wealthy people look evil, or like criminals, or even cold-hearted. NBC’s new “pulp” The Player just takes a new approach with an Illuminati-level conspiracy.

The Player, which premieres tonight on NBC, asks viewers to accept the unusual premise that there is a strange and secret conspiracy. Because “ordinary games become stale,” the world’s richest people bet on crime with the help of a secret organization run by Mr. Johnson (Wesley Snipes). Snipes’ acting career was put on hold by a three-year prison sentence for intentionally failing to file tax returns for three years. He was released in April of 2013.


Liberal Ryan Murphy’s campy, horror-comedy show Scream Queens that premiered tonight is full of vile and heartless characters who humiliate, insult and even kill. However, the “queen” of them all is Chanel Oberlin (Chanel #1), president of the Kappa Kappa Tau sorority.

Scream Queens was created by Murphy along with Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan. Murphy has often used his shows to attack conservatives, Catholics, and to promote promiscuity, and celebrate homosexuality and transgenderism. The same trio created Glee, a tv high school musical of sorts that constantly pushed the envelope on sexual issues including a “game-changing” episode celebrating one heterosexual and one homosexual couple losing their virginity. The show also mocked Christians. Murphy also co-created American Horror Story which was even worse, especially the season of AHS: Asylum which constantly derided Catholic nuns through sexual and sadistic content.
