'Run, Run, Run, Run Liz Warren!'
July 18, 2014, 5:06 PM EDT

“Americans want our next president to be a woman, hey babe here’s lookin’ at you Senator Elizabeth Warren,” were the words sung in a new video put out by the Ready for Warren website following the Massachusetts Democrat's keynote address at the liberal Netroots Convention in Detroit on Friday afternoon.

A former Obama staffer launched a “Ready for Warren” website and took to the liberal activist conference Netroots this week passing out hats, signs, and stickers touting “Elizabeth Warren for President.” Warren delivered the keynote speech at the event this afternoon and the Ready for Warren folks released a “folk music video” urging the Senator to run.

Jill Abramson Won't Pander to Katie Couric’s Gender-Based Firing Accusations
July 18, 2014, 11:09 AM EDT

Recently ousted New York Times editor Jill Abramson sat down with Katie Couric on Yahoo News Thursday afternoon to discuss her career at the Times, her firing, and her future plans. As expected, Couric wanted to center on the possible notion that Abramson being a female had everything to do with her firing. The former Today show co-host bent over backwards in an attempt to get the former editor to cry “sexism” as the reason for her termination from the newspaper.

“Are these qualities better tolerated in men than women,” Couric asked. “I don’t see gender as being the whole explanation, by any means, of what happened,” Abramson explained.

Sally Kohn: 'Chick-fil-A is Like Gay Sex!'
July 17, 2014, 10:51 AM EDT

Leave it to a liberal CNN commentator to find the connection between chicken and gay sex. Sally Kohn congratulated Chick-fil-A on its recent success of taking over Kentucky Fried Chicken as Americas preferred fast food chicken provider. She applauded the chain for providing more healthy options, but warned that the move somehow equals being...er, gay? “But psst! Don’t you know ‘skinny’=gay?” What?

In an article appearing in The Daily Beast, Kohn bizarrely compared the “newness” of Chick-fil-A and Americas predisposition to try new things as similar to gay sex. “Chick-fil-A is like gay sex. Don’t knock it till you try it!”

Netanyahu Spokesman Schools Ronan Farrow on Israel-Hamas Situation
July 15, 2014, 5:31 PM EDT

Ronan Farrow, who used to report to Hillary Clinton at the State Department, was taken to school on the Tuesday edition of his eponymous program by Mark Regev, a spokesman for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Farrow seemed to want Regev to apologize on air for Israel’s “level of retaliation.” Regev argued that Israel is not retaliating but rather is being forced to protect its citizens from a terrorist group that has rejected a cease-fire.

Say What? 'View' Co-host Sherri Shepherd Defends Hobby Lobby
July 9, 2014, 3:53 PM EDT

Wednesday morning’s episode of The View got a bit heated when the panel decided to weigh in on the Supreme Court’s controversial Hobby Lobby ruling. Liberal guest host and former CNN legal analyst, Sunny Hostin sought to inform the audience of the “scary” and “dangerous” decision made by the Supreme Court.

Curiously enough, Sherri Shepherd offered “another opinion” and stood by Hobby Lobby by attempting to explain the strongly-held religious beliefs of the company's owners. That's when Hostin, a former ABC World News Now anchor, erupted, “No. Sherri, you are so wrong on this!”

Even MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski Can't Understand Why Obama Won't Visit the Border
July 9, 2014, 2:11 PM EDT

Has Barack Obama lost Mika Brzezinski? Wednesday morning on Morning Joe, the MSNBC co-host wondered why the President is still refusing to visit the border while in Texas. Brzezinski argued that if Obama really does have a vision, why not go down to Texas and show the Republicans lack of effort on the issue?

Of course, Brzezinski threw in the “make Republicans look bad” caveat, but she also pointed out that, because of how out of hand the crisis at the border has become, “it’s been so difficult to figure out which side has the better point on immigration.”

Sarah Silverman To Hillary Clinton: 'What Men Would Put Up With Women Making Laws About Their Body?'
July 8, 2014, 4:32 PM EDT

Hillary Clinton sat down with Phoebe Greenwood of the left-wing British newspaper The Guardian last Friday to discuss a range of current event issues, responding to videotaped questions, including some from celebrities and politicians. Comedian Sarah Silverman was among them. Silverman wanted to know what Clinton’s plans will be “with women’s rights stuff” when she’s president. Silverman, referencing the Hobby Lobby decision, wanted to know “what men would ever put up with a woman making laws about what they can and can’t do with their bodies.”

Greenwood, not hiding her view of the topic, thought it necessary to explain Silverman’s question and framed it as an issue that “follows a raft of quite radical personhood bills that would seek to criminalize abortion and some forms of contraception.” The British journalist touted Clinton as a vocal advocate of women’s rights “for more than 20 years.” Greenwood then asked Clinton what she plans on doing “about these threats” and the “rollback on the right of American women to choose.”

ABC's Jon Karl Presses Obama Spox on Deportation of Minors, Will ABC Report?
July 7, 2014, 4:50 PM EDT

During Monday afternoon’s White House press briefing, recently-installed Press Secretary Josh Earnest was forced by ABC’s Jon Karl to defend the White House claims of deportation of minors at the border.

Citing an article in the Los Angeles Times which explained that under the Obama administration, contrary to White House reports, deportations of minors has actually decreased. Karl told Earnest that according the article deportation of minors is “1/5 of what it had been” and asked, “Doesn’t that show that what you are saying is disinformation?” Earnest answered by shifting blame onto, where else, the “previous president.”

MSNBC Guest Invokes Jim Crow, Apartheid in Reaction to Hobby Lobby Ruling
June 30, 2014, 4:37 PM EDT

Discontentment over the Supreme Court ruling on Hobby Lobby today continued this afternoon on MSNBC. Appearing on Ronan Farrow Daily on Monday afternoon, National Organization for Women president, Terry O’Neill argued Hobby Lobby’s beliefs to be “heinous” and compared them to an apartheid in South Africa, slavery and Jim Crow laws. Naturally host Ronan Farrow did nothing to rebuke O'Neill for the patently absurd and offensive comparison.

Earlier today NewsBusters documented anger from CNN and MSNBC over the Supreme Court’s decision. Immediately following the ruling MSNBC began touting it as an “complete and utter defeat for women’s reproductive rights.”

CNN’s Costello: Does SCOTUS Ruling Allow ‘Religion to Make Decisions Over Science?’
June 30, 2014, 11:28 AM EDT

On Monday, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Hobby Lobby and that company's argument for religious freedom. CNN’s Carol Costello wondered if the decision will now allow for “religion to make decisions over science.”

Joined by a panel of several guests to discuss the coming ruling on CNN Newsroom, host Carol Costello was more concerned with the impact the Supreme Court ruling would have on science rather than constitutionality.

Whoopi Goldberg Plays Race Card With Conservative Guest Host: 'Spoken Like a True White Guy'
June 27, 2014, 8:52 AM EDT

Liberal comedian Whoopi Goldberg clumsily deployed the race card in an argument with conservative guest co-host Will Cain of The Blaze on Wednesday's The View about comedian Russell Brand comparing Fox News to ISIS. Cain had criticized Brand, pointing out the ludicrousness of describing a news channel he disagrees with politically to violent, predatory terrorists.

Tackling how absurd American society's obsession with a virtual right to not be offended by someone else's words, Goldberg snapped back that he had “[s]poken like a true white guy.” Goldberg insisted that people “absolutely have the right” to ask people to stop using words that make them “uncomfortable.” Cain countered that “you have to be bigger than words.” In response to Goldberg arguing that people “do have the absolute right” to tell people not to use certain words Cain replied “We’d all be out of business. Everyone’s offended all of the time!”

Hillary Clinton Tells Gwen Ifill Comparing Her Comments to Romney is ‘False Equivalency'
June 26, 2014, 11:48 AM EDT

Appearing on Wednesday evening’s PBS NewsHour to discuss her book with Gwen Ifill, Hillary Clinton was forced to again explain her comments regarding wealth. Ifill told Clinton that those kind of comments tend to “stick. Ask Romney.” The former Secretary of State shot back, “Well, that’s a false equivalency.”

Gwen Ifill mentioned to Clinton that her husband “was forced to defend you at his own conference.” Hillary thought it was “sweet” of her husband, but said she doesn’t “need anybody to defend my record.”

Joe Scarborough on Media Censoring IRS Scandal: ‘This Is Why Conservatives Don’t Trust the Newspapers’
June 24, 2014, 11:38 AM EDT

On Tuesday's Morning Joe, host Joe Scarborough went unhinged on the mainstream media's lack of coverage of the IRS scandal. Scarborough held up The New York Times and berated news organizations on pulling a “scam” on the American people by not covering “the most shady behavior” of the IRS.

“This is why conservatives don’t trust the national newspapers,” Scarborough exclaimed. “It’s not the news they do run, it’s the stories they don’t run.” NewsBusters has documented the MSNBC hosts frustration over the IRS scandal in general.

Sharyl Attkisson on C-SPAN: Team Obama 'Has Perfected The Stall, The Delay, The Redaction, The Excuses'
June 23, 2014, 4:44 PM EDT

Emmy Award-winning investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson -- who recently left CBS News and accused the outlet of a reticence to criticize the Obama administration -- appeared on C-SPAN's Q&A Sunday evening to discuss her forthcoming book Stonewalled: One Reporter's Fight for Truth in Obama's Washington.

Attkisson, who recently joined the Heritage Foundation's Daily Signal website as a senior independent contributor, explained that between an opaque Obama administration and timid "powers that be" in corporate liberal media outlets, journalists like her interested in doggedly pursuing the truth have a rougher go at things than before.

Angry Bill Maher: Obama's 'Done Fantastic,' 'Racist' Tea Party Shows 'In Your Face...Disrespect'
June 23, 2014, 3:34 PM EDT

Liberal comic Bill Maher appeared on Monday's The View and was touted by the hosts as the "kind of guest we like around here because he will tear into any hot topic and he does not hold back.” Unsurprisingly Maher praised the "fantastic" Obama and slammed the "racist" Tea Party.

The hosts tossed Maher questions about guns, Hillary Clinton, PETA, and President Obama’s job performance and he offered his typical left-wing rhetoric. Among other things Maher touted himself as more "empathetic” than Liam Neeson and agreed with Whoopi Goldberg that Democrats running from ObamaCare are "punks."

White House Continues to Spin IRS E-mail Scandal as 'Republican Conspiracy Theory'
June 20, 2014, 4:59 PM EDT

Soon-to-be White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest took to the podium of the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room for his last outing as deputy press secretary. He will move into the White House Press Secretary role next week as Jay Carney officially vacates the job.

If we learned anything from his “test run” today, it’s that Earnest has learned the art of White House spin from his boss. When questioned about the IRS e-mail scandal, Earnest repeatedly touted “Republican conspiracy theories” as the ruling force behind any and all questions involving the scandal.

Sharyl Attkisson To Lou Dobbs: Reporters Skip Scandals to Avoid Looking Like 'Right-Wing Nuts'
June 20, 2014, 11:54 AM EDT

Thursday evening on the Fox Business Network, host Lou Dobbs of Lou Dobbs Tonight was joined by Emmy award winning reporter Sharyl Attkisson, who recently signed on with the Heritage Foundation's Daily Signal website as a senior independent contributor. The two discussed the recent news surrounding the ongoing IRS scandal and the liberal media’s apparent uninterest in the story.

Dobbs asked Attkisson why the liberal media refuses to report the story and rather insists on "behaving much more like lap dogs" instead of doing their job and serving as a “watch dog.” Attkisson argued that the media is being run by a “propaganda interest” that insists any coverage of any scandals involving the Obama administration are “phony” and perpetrated by “right-wing nuts.”

Krystal Ball Asks Abortion Movie Director If She Ever Feared For Her ‘Physical Safety’
June 20, 2014, 9:03 AM EDT

Thursday afternoon’s The Cycle plugged the recently released “abortion rom-com” Obvious Child by interviewing the film's screenwriter and director Gillian Robespierre and lead actress Jenny Slate.

After the hosts spent a couple minutes praising the way in which the film portrayed a "positive, safe, shame-free abortion," co-host Krystal Ball took the liberty of asking the director if there was ever a point where she felt nervous for her “physical safety” citing the sometimes “violent” nature of anti-abortion activists.

MSNBC's Scarborough Wonders If Harry Reid Has Been to a Redskins Game
June 19, 2014, 12:36 PM EDT

After playing a soundbite of Harry Reid on the Senate floor exclaiming his disgust for the Washington Redskins team name, MSNBC Morning Joe co-host Joe Scarborough wondered if the Majority Leader had ever been to a game.

If Reid had attended a game, Scarborough asked if the Nevada Democrat "set himself on fire and ran across the 50-yard line and said, 'This is wrong!'"

MSNBC's Joe Scarborough Mocks IRS Excuses: 'Who Are These Idiots?'
June 19, 2014, 10:14 AM EDT

On Thursday's Morning Joe, co-host Joe Scarborough had a little bit of fun with the IRS claiming to have thrown away Lois Lerner’s computer containing the e-mails at the center of the scandal surrounding the IRS targeting of conservative organizations.“Who are these idiots," Scarborough exclaimed at one point.

He mocked, “This is one of the most important people at the Internal Revenue Service so maybe these e-mails are of some worth." The segment came at the top of the 6 a.m. hour of the broadcast. Mika Brzezinski was attempting to read through the headlines for the show when Scarborough, unable to contain himself, went off on the latest excuses from the IRS and Lois Lerner.
