'Are You Being Sarcastic?' Lawrence O'Donnell Says E-Mail Chain Will Absolve Hillary on Russian Uranium
April 23, 2015, 5:25 PM EDT

The controversy surrounding the Clinton Foundation’s donations has raised the question as to whether or not they affected the State Department’s decision to approve the sale of a Canadian uranium-mining company to the Russians. MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell expressed optimism on Morning Joe that we will learn the truth because there is likely, “an advisory chain of e-mail in the State Department that can tell us exactly how this decision was made.”

He wasn’t kidding.

Scarborough: Iran Tyrants and Dissidents Like 'Red States' and 'Blue States'
April 22, 2015, 10:04 AM EDT

If not for the news media, most people would likely go through life missing some important information. For example, if they missed Monday’s Morning Joe, they would have missed the “fact” that many Americans are just like Iran’s theocratic tyrants.

During a discussion of the tension between Iran’s radical Muslim leaders and its allegedly "progressive" people, host Joe Scarborough made a comment that might as well have come from the mouth of Chris Matthews. "We really saw the split in 2009 that I said at the time, oh, my God, there’s a red-state Tehran and there’s a blue-state Tehran."

MSNBC's Luke Russert: Everyone on My Twitter Feed Says Gyrocopter Protester is 'a Hero'
April 21, 2015, 2:30 PM EDT

The breaching of the White House airspace by an elderly political radical is disturbing to many Americans. That is unless you happen to be MSNBC’s Luke Russert, whose Twitter feed was stuffed with people who thought the man was a hero.

In recapping the saga of the gyro-copter pilot who flew too close to the White House while advocating campaign finance reform, Russert framed the issue as a fight between the government who seeks punishment and the people who love the heroic protester.

Huffington Post: 'Slut-Shaming' Is for Shaming Any Female Expression
April 18, 2015, 5:20 PM EDT

The Huffington Post has long been a haven for progressive lectures in sensitivity training. Case in point is Leora Tanenbaum who has a history of ranting about the evils of "slut-shaming" and its ties to oppressive sexism.

In a Wednesday post on "The Truth About Slut-Shaming," Tanenbaum defined the concept as "the experience of being labeled a sexually out-of-control girl or woman (a "slut" or "ho") and then being punished socially for possessing this identity." One of her examples was the occasion in which "Monica Lewinsky was called 'a little tart' in a Wall Street Journal editorial in 1998."

Mika: 'I Want to Believe' That Hillary's Like Elizabeth Warren
April 17, 2015, 8:04 AM EDT

Instead of leaping in celebration at the Hillary rollout on Morning Joe, MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski lamented the fact she was forced to settle for a pale imitation of the left’s true savior, Senator Elizabeth Warren.

Brzezinski, a devout Warren fan-girl with the shirt to prove it, took issue with Hillary Clinton’s philosophical plagiarism of her hero’s ideas, "I just feel like she's, it's a great message, but she's got to stop...sounding like she talked to Elizabeth Warren on the phone and then repeated everything Elizabeth Warren said."

On MSNBC, Donny Deutsch Mangles Facts In Ripping Rubio, Oozing About Obama Success
April 15, 2015, 10:30 PM EDT

Marco Rubio’s leap into the Republican presidential race has provoked a variety of reactions, but the most unhinged Rubio backlash goes to Donny Deutsch, who reduced himself to a mess of inconsistency by claiming Rubio isn’t qualified for job, while defending the even less experienced President Obama.

(This is the same Deutsch that infamously insulted Rubio as a "coconut" -- brown on the outside and white on the inside.)

Stale Rerun, Ron Fournier: McCain Guilty of 'Swift-Boating' Kerry on Iran
April 15, 2015, 11:03 AM EDT

Sen. John McCain recently raged against Obama’s Iran deal by calling Secretary John Kerry’s handling of the project "delusional."  On Monday's Morning Joe, National Journal’s Ron Fournier was visibly vexed at McCain for attacking Obama’s sacred cow and described the former Vietnam POW’s comments as "beyond the pale. Kind of reminds me of the swift-boating of John Kerry in 2004, which I thought was outrageous."

Oh yes. The old "swift-boating" accusation. Remember that one? No one can criticize John Kerry without being guilty of smear campaigning, not even John McCain, who was one of many POWs slandered and maligned by John Kerry’s own baseless smears before Congress in 1971.

Mika's Giddy Receiving the Gift of an Elizabeth Warren T-Shirt
April 13, 2015, 7:10 PM EDT

Veteran media watchers are well acquainted with the fact that the media in general and MSNBC in particular are cesspools of leftist talking points. Despite this, news anchors at least try not wear their politics on their sleeves, except for Morning Joe’s Mika Brzezinski, who literally did just that by showcasing a pro-Elizabeth Warren t-shirt she received from former Obama Counselor to the Secretary of the Treasury Steven Rattner.

In the opening minutes of the show’s broadcast Rattner gave Brzezinski a present in honor of “[her] great success on Friday in Philadelphia,” a reference to Brzezinski Know Your Value campaign. Mika was so happy with the gift, she said, “I’m wearing that running.”

MSNBC Anchor-Activist Thomas Roberts Presses Valerie Jarrett from the Left on Gay Agenda
April 13, 2015, 1:43 PM EDT

While President Obama’s announcement that he would work with the states to ban “conversion therapy” was met with applause from the sexual revolutionaries on the Left, gay MSNBC anchor/activist Thomas Roberts was noticeably irritated on his Thursday afternoon show. He wanted a federal law to ban it across the nation and repeatedly advocated for it in an interview with top White House aide Valerie Jarrett.

Roberts began by recounting what he called the “huge symbolic move out of the White House” in response to a petition that circulated the net, following the suicide of 17-year-old Leelah Alcorn [born Joshua Alcorn].

Scarborough: Bring Back the Draft So Think-Tank 'Chicken Hawks' Won’t Push Endless War
April 9, 2015, 5:10 PM EDT

On Morning Joe, MSNBC's Joe Scarborough raged against "chicken hawks" at think tanks like the Heritage Foundation argue America "needs to be all over the world...Let them send their families." Then Scarborough said we should return to a draft, so all Americans have "skin in the game" and politicians "won't see this as toy soldiers moving across the globe.”

MSNBC's Thomas Roberts: We'll Gladly Take Our Cameras and Mikes to Meet Ted Cruz's Crazy Dad
April 9, 2015, 6:57 AM EDT

Much like playground bullies, it does not take long for the liberal media to poke fun at the family members of candidates they don’t like  – Republican candidates. The father-bashing began in earnest on Tuesday afternoon shortly after Rand Paul’s campaign announcement when MSNBC’s Live With Thomas Roberts decided to headline a segment of the fathers of Republican candidates with the phrase  “GOP Contenders with Father Issues?”
Having set a tone nowhere close to objectivity, Roberts jabbed Ted Cruz’s father, Rafael Cruz, asking how Ted Cruz will “break his father's shadow or potential hindrance of saying something and really getting caught with having to explain it away.”

Roberts added, “I think reporters will -- if he doesn't show up on the campaign trail, they’re happy to go find Rafael Cruz, and take the cameras and microphones to him.”

Van Jones on CNN: GOP 'Not in Touch' With Minorities, 'Don't Care' About Their Communities
April 8, 2015, 9:49 AM EDT

It is not surprising that Rand Paul has a media target on his chest for announcing himself as a Republican presidential candidate. What is unusual is the fact that CNN  saw fit to bring in Van Jones, a man with flirtations with communism and 9/11 conspiracy theories (and who briefly President Obama’s "green jobs" czar) to evaluate Paul’s political aspirations.

When Carol Costello asked Jones for his thoughts regarding Paul’s outreach to the black community, he used the opportunity to slander Republicans, “You know, the Republicans have a very tough branding issue when it comes to people of color. Since that they are not in touch. They don't care about some of these communities. I think Rand Paul has been the big exception to that over the past couple of years.”

Mika: Rand Paul's Grandiose Ad 'Setting Yourself Up for Failure'
April 7, 2015, 4:27 PM EDT

When Republicans make campaign announcements, the press usually grab their pitchforks, light their torches, and proceed to run them down. Such was the case with Mika Brzezinski, who typified the Morning Joe crew’s response to Rand Paul’s announcement trailer with the question, "Isn't that kind of setting yourself up to fail?"

Donny Deutsch also lamented the over-the-top rhetoric of the Paul trailer and longed for the day when the American people would be fortunate enough to hear "just [a] different tone, as opposed to this mindless 1950s ‘time for a new America’."

NY Times Reporter: Religious Freedom Laws 'Coming From a Dark Place'
April 4, 2015, 6:09 PM EDT

New York Times reporter Jeremy Peters was asked on MSNBC's Morning Joe on Thursday about the difference between the Indiana religious-freedom law as it was originally written and as it stood now. Peters decided to unveil the bigger issue with the RFRA laws themselves: "these laws look as if they're coming from a dark place. They are designed in many cases to express a disapproval about gay relationships. And that's what's so upsetting to people about this."

MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski: Gov. Pence ‘Sounds Like’ and ‘Looks Like’ a Bigot
April 2, 2015, 9:50 AM EDT

Mika Brzezinski has never been one to shy away from smearing conservatives and Wednesday was no exception. Still furious over the Indiana Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA), Brzezinski said of Governor Mike Pence "People are calling him a bigot because it sounds like one and looks like one. I'm sorry."

MSNBC Features Activist to Slam Pence: He 'Packaged Hate' in a 'Box'
April 1, 2015, 1:13 PM EDT

The coverage of Indiana’s decision to protect religious liberty from government coercion has given the public access to an unveiled look at the aggressive liberal media in action. Case in point is MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell, who invited George Takei, the Star Trek actor turned gay rights activist, and Stuart Milk, president of the Harvey Milk Foundation, to rage against the Indiana law for nearly eight minutes of air time.

Huffington Post: Indiana's Religious Freedom Law a 'Weapon of Mass Destruction'
March 31, 2015, 11:11 AM EDT

Following the passage of Indiana’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA), the Huffington Post began churning out anti-religious freedom screeds like an assembly line of hyperbole. The most outrageous of which came from the "Reverend" Susan Russell, who called the law a "perversion of religion into a weapon of mass destruction."

It’s remarkable how negatively this religious leader views religious history:

CNN, Chris Cuomo Invite Gay Radical Radio Host to Blast Indiana's 'Rebranded Bigotry'
March 28, 2015, 8:37 PM EDT

CNN and New Day anchor Chris Cuomo stacked the day against social conservatives again on Friday morning. During a segment on Indiana Governor Mike Pence’s passing of a Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA), CNN asked on screen"‘Religious Freedom’ Law Legalize Discrimination?," as Cuomo wondered out loud "‘why is there so much concern about how others choose to love?"

Cuomo then welcomed his guest, Michelangelo Signorile, a radical gay activist and satellite radio host who once displayed his loving tolerance by telling a professing homosexual Mitt Romney supporter to "buy some arsenic...and take it."

Mika Brzezinski: Netanyahu's a Desperate Race-Baiter; Dick Durbin Was Not
March 25, 2015, 10:18 AM EDT

Joe Scarborough, MSNBC’s solitary leaner toward the center-right, was unavailable for Monday’s broadcast of Morning Joe. Without him to restrain her, Mika Brzezinski proceeded to make a piñata out of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s election comments, repeatedly accusing him of “race-baiting.”

This is odd, considering Mika insisted just a few days before that Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin was not race-baiting with his “back of the bus” comments about Loretta Lynch.

Birther Mischief: NPR Finds Expert to Hint Cruz Eligibility Not an 'Open-and-Shut Case'
March 24, 2015, 4:22 PM EDT

The birther issue is back. No, not the Obama birther crazies; the Ted Cruz birther crazies.

In an interview with National Public Radio (NPR) on Monday's All Things Considered, Sarah Duggin of the Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law claimed that Ted Cruz’s eligibility for the Presidency is not “an open-and-shut case” because “we don’t know precisely what the framers of the Constitution meant when they put into Article II that no person except a natural-born citizen shall be eligible to the office of president.”
