According to liberal actor and anti-vaccine activist Jim Carrey, mandating vaccines for children in order to prevent deadly infectious diseases is fascism.
In a June 30 twitter tirade, Carrey attacked California Gov. Jerry Brown as a “corporate fascist” for signing SB--277 into law. The bill will eliminate individual religious vaccine exemptions. The recent Disneyland Measles outbreak provided some of the momentum for the bill, but it still faced strong opposition from anti-vaccination alarmists who claim they are dangerous to children and can cause autism.

Pope Francis’ call to action on climate change with his encyclical, Laudato Si’, has resulted in some strange and “radical” alliances.
The Guardian (UK) reported on June 27 that the Vatican added pro Occupy Wall Street activist Naomi Klein to a growing list of activists for its upcoming environmental conference. Klein is an “ferocious critic of capitalism” and a “secular radical,” according to the left-wing Guardian newspaper.

Using the far-left environmental website Grist on June 17, Mark Ruffalo leveraged his fame and popularity to rage about the supposed danger of fossil fuels, and pushed his goal of 100 percent renewable energy by 2050. That goal was implausible at best, given the technological limitations, expense and intermittency of renewable sources. Of course, Ruffalo’s acting and directing has made him rich enough that higher energy bills wouldn’t hurt him too badly.

Tucked away in an article about how recycling has become a losing proposition and recycling companies and facilities are deeply in the red, was a surprising reason.
“Trying to encourage conservation, progressive lawmakers and environmentalists have made matters worse. By pushing to increase recycling rates with bigger and bigger bins — while demanding almost no sorting by consumers — the recycling stream has become increasingly polluted and less valuable, imperiling the economics of the whole system,” Aaron C. Davis of The Washington Post wrote on June 20.

For all the fuss the left makes about “getting money out of politics,” their actions tell a vastly different story. When conservative donors make or facilitate anonymous donations, liberals cry “dark money” and bemoan the supposed lack of accountability. If liberals truly wanted to get money out of politics, they would need to start with their own Tides organizations, which pioneered the very practice they claim to hate.
The liberal Tide Foundation and its offshoot Tides Center have together accepted $82.7 million in grants from the Federal Government, from 2002 to 2013. These grants support some of the 133 Tides Center projects. Tides Center projects include Ferguson supporters, population control proponents, and anti-Semites, but the tax data is unclear which specific projects the government is backing. Tides is also supported by liberal billionaire George Soros.

Apparently Tom Steyer knows his Bible better than he knows math. Or perhaps he just hasn't had a heart to heart with his accountant in several years.
Liberal climate change activist and political donor Tom Steyer likened himself to David, fighting against the "Goliath" of conservative political donors, in a May 26 interview with PBS NewsHour. He lamented, "when you look at the relatie dollars, it really is a David and Goliath situation, and we're very definitely the small shepherd boy with five rocks and a sling."
