Lefty Billionaire Bails Out Flailing Relativity Media Sports Offshoot
October 14, 2015, 11:34 AM EDT

Relativity Media may be dying a painful death, but thanks to lefty investor and former Clinton BFF Ron Burkle, at least one of Relativity’s offshoots will live on. For now.

On Oct. 7, Burkle announced that he would be dropping $30 million into Relativity Sports to keep the athlete marketing business alive. Burkle, who was a founding member of Relativity Sports, will be increasing his influence in the company by now serving as chairman of the board, as well.

Washington Post Finds Government's Anti-Whole Milk Stance May Have Been Wrong
October 9, 2015, 1:47 PM EDT

Just because the government says it, doesn’t mean it is true and that especially applies to dietary advice and nutrition.

For years, the U.S. government and the liberal news media dissuaded people from consuming saturated fats including dairy fat that can be found in whole milk. But new science shows “certain foods that are high in fat seem to be beneficial.”

Media Praise Study that Excludes Data, Misuses Government HIV Research Grant
October 7, 2015, 4:29 PM EDT

Media outlets conveniently seized upon a study claiming to show higher alcohol taxes reduced drunken-driving deaths, but ignored problems with the study including its funding.

In April 2015, the media, including The Washington Post, covered a University of Florida study funded in part by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The study evaluated automobile accident fatalities involving alcohol between 2001 and 2011, and claimed a reduction in deaths after 2009 was caused by a several-cent increase in alcohol excise tax in 2009.

New Fact-Checking Network Funded by Liberal Snowden Supporter
October 5, 2015, 9:59 AM EDT

A new fact-checking organization is set to launch in October 2015, but it turns out a liberal billionaire is behind it and footing most of the bill.

Poynter Institute, a journalism education organization, announced in July that it would be creating a new International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN) this year, headquartered in St. Petersburg, Florida. On Sept. 21, Poynter announced its appointment of Alexios Mantzarlis as director and editor for IFCN. Mantzarlis is the former managing editor of Italy’s leading fact-checking website Pagella Politica.

Kimmel Finds Hillary Supporters Like Trump's Tax Plan
October 1, 2015, 4:28 PM EDT

A few Hillary supporters just learned an important lesson about paying attention to your candidate’s policies.

Following the announcement of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s  tax plan, late night TV host Jimmy Kimmel set out to find whether voters paid any attention to details.

Billionaire Climate Activist Steyer's Ridiculous Rewrite of History
September 29, 2015, 1:11 PM EDT

Billionaire climate activist Tom Steyer has taken to doctoring his own biographical history to make himself seem more genuine.

In a Sept. 28, interview on MSNBC’s All in with Chris Hayes, Steyer told Hayes that his climate “conversion” happened a full ten years earlier than it actually did. Unfortunately for Steyer -- but fortunately for everyone who cares to know the truth -- he told a very different story in June 2014.

Right Wing Watch Proves Norman Lear is No 'Conservative'
September 23, 2015, 10:22 AM EDT

Famed TV producer Norman Lear came out as “a bleeding-heart conservative,” in an Aug. 1, Entertainment Weekly interview. But much like Lear’s shows All In The Family, The Jeffersons and Maude, it’s fiction.

Lear’s pet organization, People For the American Way, proves it. The group (which is both funded and led by Hollywood figures) claims to stand up for freedom of speech and religion -- two core tenets of America’s founding. In practice however, People For the American Way attacks nearly any group or person whose views don’t align with its progressive agenda.

Democrat House Campaign Incorrectly Claimed CNN Executive Donated Money
September 21, 2015, 8:34 AM EDT

Democrat Rep. Juan Vargas’s campaign incorrectly claimed a top CNN executive had given it a $1,000 contribution. The campaign now admits its error and has filed with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) to correct the mistake.

According to both FEC and OpenSecrets records, CNN’s Executive Vice President of News Standards and Procedures Richard Davis gave the campaign $1,000 in a donation listed on Nov. 4, 2014. The campaign now admits that isn’t accurate. Campaign Treasurer Nancy Haley stated on Sept. 18: “We realize a clerical error was made and we have corrected it immediately upon discovering the error and have fled [sic] an amended report with the FEC today.”

Two Months of Mislabeling: ABC, NBC Evening News Shows Haven't Called Sanders 'Socialist' Since July 3
September 9, 2015, 4:00 PM EDT

Bernie Sanders is polling better than Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire, while the liberal broadcast networks continue to downplay his extreme views.

A New Hampshire poll released Sept. 8, 2015, indicated Sanders had pulled ahead of fellow presidential candidate Clinton. The networks jumped to report the poll’s findings, but haven’t properly labeled Sanders’ political views in more than two months. The last mention was on NBC Nightly News on July 3.

Scientists Discover There are 2.64 Trillion More Trees on Earth, Washington Post Whines About Deforestation
September 3, 2015, 3:10 PM EDT

Leave it to the Washington Post to spoil good news with climate alarmism.

Science and environment reporter Chris Mooney reported that a new study of trees concluded the world’s tree population was 7.6 times greater than previously estimated. The researchers calculate that there are more than 3 trillion trees on the planet, 2.64 trillion more than they’d thought there were.

Eighty-seven Percent of Donations Made by Largest Spanish-Language Network go to Dems
September 2, 2015, 1:55 PM EDT

Actions speak louder than words. Just like Jorge Ramos is currently losing the argument that he’s a fair journalist, his network’s PAC donations are confirming Univision has the exact same problem.

Though Univision Communications, Inc. -- Univision’s PAC -- talks about Latino voters as if it were nonpartisan, 87 percent of its political donations have gone directly to Democratic candidates. The PAC’s money comes from Univision employees and spouses, including large donations from Univision leadership. Glenda Martinez and Timothy Spillane, two high level executives, together donated $76,552 to the PAC since 2008.

Katrina Anniversary: Media's 10 Most Outlandish Hurricane Predictions Full of Hot Air
August 26, 2015, 10:07 AM EDT

Ten years ago, Hurricane Katrina made landfall in Louisiana, destroying homes, businesses, and claiming more than 1,000 lives. The networks saw Katrina as a harbinger of climate doom.

Hurricane Katrina was the 7th-most intense Atlantic hurricane on record, the third-deadliest in US history, and the most expensive at roughly $108 billion (including economic impact,). That was more than twice as costly as Tropical Storm Sandy, which hit New York and New Jersey in 2012.

New York Times Finds Canadian Government's Maple Syrup 'Cartel' Holding Markets, Producers Hostage
August 25, 2015, 3:25 PM EDT

The Canadian government is souring maple syrup production in Quebec, according to The New York Times.

Through the Federation of Quebec Maple Syrup Producers, an agency, the Times referred to as a “cartel,” the Canadian government has seized control of 70 percent of the world’s maple syrup supply and turned the lives of Canadian farmers upside down.

Steyer-Funded Climate Initiative Hits Just 5% of Green Jobs Goal
August 18, 2015, 4:22 PM EDT

Three years after liberal environmentalist Tom Steyer bullied Californians into not opposing the Clean Energy Jobs Act, the payoffs have failed to materialize. Steyer promised that  the Act, which was little more than a tax hike on corporations, would create 11,000 new green jobs and raise $1 billion in revenue each year. So far it’s more than 30,000 jobs and $2 billion short.

The media have ignored the dismal progress of the California Act. Not a single network has discussed the Act’s failure, and the results have just begun to get attention after an August 17 Associated Press report.

NBCUniversal Invests $200 Million in Liberal Vox Media
August 14, 2015, 7:54 AM EDT

Two liberal media groups are joining forces. CNBC reported on Aug. 13, that NBCUniversal has invested $200 million in the privately-owned digital media company Vox Media.

Vox Media Chairman and CEO Jim Bankoff told Squawk Box that the money would be going into building Vox brands, advertising capabilities, technology and infrastructure.

Trophy Hunting Bans After Cecil Outrage Could Cause More Lion Hunting
August 12, 2015, 10:00 AM EDT

The liberal news media and many people expressed outrage over the trophy killing of Cecil the Lion, but calling for trophy hunting bans could actually hurt African lions.

According to The New York Times, conservation efforts in African countries could be severely crippled by the anti-trophy hunting sentiment that swept the United States in the wake of Cecil’s death.

Media Ignore Their Own 'Wage Gap' Guilt
August 7, 2015, 2:13 PM EDT

While liberals and journalists love to hype income inequality to slam CEO paychecks and push for a higher minimum wage, a new SEC law shows liberal media CEOs are the ones the media should be criticizing.

On August 8, the Securities and Exchange Commission approved a new rule that requires companies to “disclose the ratio between their chief executives' annual compensation and median, or midpoint, employee pay,” according to the Associated Press.

Networks Ignore 'Backlash' Caused by Companys $70k Minimum Wage
August 3, 2015, 3:56 PM EDT

The man called America’s “Boss of the Year” (at least, by ABC News) is facing problems, including a staff exodus, after giving a massive to boost to many of his employees’ salaries.

Seattle-based Gravity Payments CEO Dan Price announced in April 2015 that he would implement a minimum $70,000 salary for all his employees. Back then,  ABC, NBC and CBS pounced on the story and praised Price.

Planned Parenthood's Biggest Donors Gave $374 Million in Four Years
July 31, 2015, 11:16 AM EDT

In response to a series of incriminating under-cover videos from The Center for Medical Progress about the major abortion provider, organizations have been cutting ties -- or denying ties -- to Planned Parenthood. But where nonprofits are concerned, tax records keep the story straight.

Between 2010 and 2013, no fewer than 966 individual organizations donated to Planned Parenthood. Of those, 31 gave more than $1 million each during those four years, totaling $374,199,059. The seven highest donors made up $324.8 million of that.
